Watching these kinds of videos is so fun and yet like torture. It's like the universe taunting me that I still gotta finish high school and and college before I can do this full time. Great work man.
It's obvious these two guys have flown together many times. They are so relaxed and calm with each other. I loved it when the pilot sneezed and the First Officer said "God bless you!"
@@flymaxCan you PLEASE tell me what the device is to left of throttle station near pilots rights knee that is " disc like " with a white marking, that keeps rotating on an intermittent basis ?? Is it something to do with a Flaps Monitor or Flaps Control system ? Please Educate Me ! Thank You 🙏 Kindly. ~~ Roger Beep ~~
@@SailProMarina Its the trim wheel, it helps when controlling the aircraft during different portions of the flight, takeoff, cruise, decent, etc. It basically adjusts the position of the elevator.
@@SailProMarina I am not even close of being a pilot but I am an enthusiast of aviation, if Im not wrong it helps to stabilize the elevator depending on yor actual speed so the pilot not needing to be pushing or pulling the yoke constantly, if you watch closely his left thumb during the ascent, everytime he move it the black and white wheel makes a lap, after he activates the autopilot (auto-thrust) is the computer wo makes this small changes in the yoke.
Awesome flight deck discipline and sterilization. Nice relaxed pace and common courtesy goes a long way in the making of a safe flight. It’s also nice to see the aircraft being hand flown.
All done because the camera is there, it would normally go something like this. Captain: Right, are we gonna get going or not? Co-pilot: Hang on bro, let me finish my cigarette. Tower: You are clear for take off, and dont forget the duty frees I asked about Captain: Hows the plane? Co-pilot: seems ok, it was ok when we landed yesterday, right, I'm done lets go boss man Captain: Turn that radio off its annoying, hold my beer, ok hang on to ya seat baby....yeeeee haa!! 😊
Turbulent take offs are no big deal all you have is up and a lot of throttle. Came into Skipot Amsterdam as a passenger in bad turbulence and shit my pants.
@@lienzomoho15 naive sheep - howevr one of these men alone hold more sustainable IQ, dicispine, and an oath to protect passengers at all costs. Yes, i really have trouble trusting piolots but the fact its not you or some other idiot that tuly believe they might have been able to control this plane better than these trained pilots lmaoooo
Real pilots hand fly to cruise. Most pilots today get gear up, flaps up set heading, speed, ALT, and press AP. Respect for the pilots that still know stick and rudder flying.
It’s usually company policy that makes pilots fly using only autopilot during traffic-heavy situations, so I wouldn’t blame the pilots alone for it all.
I miss the days of being able to say Hi to the Pilot & Co-Pilot when boarding & taking pictures too! I will cherish those pictures forever! I've always had so much respect for what they do, nerves of steel! Clapping at the end when we landed was so awesome! My longest flight was to Australia & that was hard for me, those Pilots are amazing! Toronto Canada!
@@daphnesuarez5924 Lol not really. Back then you were more likely to get highjacked and end up with a free flight to cuba. Air travel, while disasterous for the environment is safer and quicker now than it ever was then. Back then they still had to compete with Regional Rail lines until they had the money to just fuck over the rail lines and make those all so slow and expensive to use. Flight sucks now for the same reason traffic sucks and for the same reason why putting another lane on the road doesn't actually make traffic better, it does the exact opposite and makes traffic worse. Same thing applies to air travel. There's so much of it happening these days that you're literally flying maybe a thousand or so feet of elevation away from intersecting air traffic. Air travel back then was a fuck of a lot more dangerous due to lack of regulations, though with the amount of deregulation that the airlines have lobbied for, we are returning to the days of planes just falling apart in the air and pilots refusing to fly them. A big problem these days is a lack of pilots too. Since pilots get treated like meat market supervisors and paid like ass for the amount of time they spend away from home, they are struggling to get more pilots to fill spots. Airlines are honestly the problem, but in general air travel is insane and we need to kill off regional flights if we expect to ever improve how long it takes to get across the country. Rail lines are the unironic solution. Less cars, less air traffic, more rail lines. Better for the world, faster travel because you have 1 driver with 100s of people on it, and imo is way more fun than getting crammed on the little shit box planes they force us on these days. Flying is something I love to do, but its gotten to be miserable the more they crunch space to fit more fat fucks on the planes.
I really felt like I was right there on the flight deck with you guys. Take off was very exciting and the scenery way up above is beautiful! Be safe, always and thank you for this great video.
It is called teamwork. That' by the way is how politicians aer supposed to run a much bigger plane. A plane with 350 Million passengers. The United States.
I watch a lot of plane crash videos, and in several the primary cause of the crash was the failure to perform one or more checklists prior to takeoff. In at least two, the flaps were not set for takeoff so the plane couldn't climb. So, I appreciate watching you go through the checklists.
Yes, there is a saying “checklists are written with the blood”. They are absolutely can’t be ignored and must be accomplished at respective stage of the flight.
Last month experienced a shuttle train in Toronto going nuts back and forth pretty extreme, people were falling and some even crying because they were scared. Continued for about 10 minutes and no-one could stop the train. At the end I said: "Anyone up for pilotless cockpits?" The answer for one for all, NEVER! @@thomaswilson8634
nice camera placement! real immersive edit: maybe for the next video you can include the camera audio, so we can hear a bit of the cockpit ambience as well
I have always lived in the USA but have never had the opportunity to see anything of Canada so I really enjoyed the wonderful aerial views upon takeoff. Also I suspect that most people do not realize that there is a tremendous amount of prep work to be done before a plane can takeoff. Pilots actually have a lot of responsibility. Enjoyed this.
Hi Wendy, thank you for your comment! Yes Canada has some beautiful scenery to explore😍 just like the US, I’ve been doing my flight training in US and I know that for sure) yes, it is a lot of studying and prep, responsibility as well, but it’s totally worth it!🙏🏻
@@flymax That you Sir for your very kind reply as I didn't expect that. A lot of prep work for certain but so very worth it. Hoping you and your fellow Pilots stay safe always, thanks a fan.
I was enlisted aircrew in the USAF and we had to be at the plane 2 1/2 hours before takeoff to do our preflights, so yes quite a bit of preparation before flight.
@@billirvin9057 Hi, thanks for the comment. My husband was in the US NAVY for almost 25 years and he and his men worked on all the avionics for the planes. Hope your enjoying a wonderful weekend.
Great video nice view from the pilots seat God Bless all the airport staff and pilots around the world thank you all for keeping us safe in the air and on the ground too❤
This is really so nice. And better still it reminds me of when I used to fly either my C150 or one of the flying clubs C150 out of CFB Greenwood N.S. Canada. On a day with lots of turbulent why flying the 150 was very much the same. Gotta love it !! I loved watching the pilot working the trim from the wheel and then seeing the trim wheel indicator turning down by the throttles.
Really Nice! I remember in the 1960s I flew with my Dad and Uncle in an old Stinson Prop plane, out of Eschelon Airport, NJ. Very high Cross Winds and we never went above the turbulent air. It was a really Humpy fly. Never was afraid though the Plane was rocking. Actually, I was more afraid of sailing out of the Barnegat Bay NJ Inlet, because the waves really had the boat rocking.
@@flymaxpathetic...no into strong cross wind aileron.... Poor technique and airmanship.. Hence the over correction on lift off.. You haven't got a clue!
Pretty straight out departure. Hand-flying is always the nicest. Sometimes complicated departures and sometimes even arrivals preclude hand flying as things get way too complicated.
Thank you very much! I love this angle! If you have suggestions on the other camera angles please advise! Pleasure to have you aboard the flight deck👨✈️
A few months ago I flew on a Max -8 for the first time...I was amazed how quickly we got to rotate speed. I thought I was on an Airbus...great job hand flying the plane through all that turbulence. Keep the blue side up gents. Shalom
Cables? 737s have been fly by wire for a long time. I think they keep the traditional controls due to pilot training. Switching to the joystick of an Airbus is no easy change.
@@ericblair6984 Since the 737 has cables to the flight surfaces it can be flown when all systems fail, like computers, electrics and hydraulics. Airbus can't do that,
Watching how complicated this is for the pilots, with so much going on, us the reason I dont fly anymore, too many things could go wrong. Knowing I was going to fly to a holiday destination ruined the holiday for me. Knowing I'll be anxious ruins it the fear of being fearful. Which is why I totally respect the courage of pilots 👍🏼
The moment he said u r flying all the legs 😂❤️ , amazing and skillful pilot absolutely no need for AP haha😂❤️ , thanks for the amazing video ❤️ fly safe
I love aviation videos. I have noticed that even as a native American English speaker I can barely understand the instructions over the radio from the flight controllers. I cannot imagine being a non-native English speaker and trying to understand what the heck they're saying.
So awesome! Airplanes and pilots are amazing things and people. I admire them so much. My wife and I fly a lot. When I sit in that seat and feel the speed increase and sense the liftoff ascent I become so humble and thankful for the men that are in control of that huge craft. 👍
I immediately liked and subscribed! I am seeing more and more cockpit cams and learn so very much!!! You pilots in this video are not only talented pros but amazing magicians! I learned a lot from the late Al Haines from the DC-10 United Flight. He taught us about teamwork, communication and collaboration. That synergy seems to be the common theme for success. Cheers!
My sons are contemplating a career in aviation (with some nudging from Dad :-) and this video gives them an excellent glimpse into one aspect of that world. Thanks for making this video!
Pilot induced turbulence is a real thing. While there is some validity to hand flying to keep your skills sharp it seems to me any hand flying above 10,000 isn’t about professionalism but narcissism.
@jbraunger why narcissism? You do realize sometimes pilots are forced to hand fly because for whatever reason the autopilot isn't working, right (although I believe this would only be for the one flight as maintenance would have to look at why the autopilot isn't working once the plane reaches its destination).
So you are suggesting the autopilot was MEL’d? What is to be gained hand flying above 10,000 feet? Narcissism is obvious when the pilot is choosing a method that creates a worse ride for the passengers to show off for a video. A true professional would let the autopilot do a better job and let their co-pilot relax.
@jbraunger surprisingly the autopilot can break (wow who knew?). And I don't think there is a pilot out there who on purpose decides to hand fly it above 10000 feet unless absolutely necessary.
So you’re suggesting the pilot in this video is flying a plane with an inoperative autopilot eh? Hmm I don’t see a sticker showing it is MEL’d. And there are lots of pilots who hand fly above 10,000 feet. And they are all narcissists who “love to fly” and ignore passengers. Sorry but I’m not impressed. All pilots are capable of hand flying the plane but the good ones don’t. They let the autopilot fly the plane and manage the aircraft instead.
Very Cool. Hand flew. Love it. My hands are ahaking in the sim by the time I get to 5000. AP the rest of the way. Still have a lot to learn. Thanks for the video.
I think he mentioned speed but once he'd put flaps up could it have been with turbulence, how big is Toronto airport there seems to be runways all over the place
