Hopefully Auckland can stop kidding themselves and stop trying to be a bloody super city and get the infrastructures sorted we might be ready for next time. Do you all remember those trucks that use to clean the streets like early hours of the morning , did the Council cut those services , I was just thinking when all the crap flooded into mt front and back yards, that I haven't seen one of those clean up trucks with the brushes come through on our streets? Thanks for posting this. It was good to see long shots of the same area to give us the impact it is having rather than the quick 5-second grabs so many others have posted. If I could make one suggestion it would be that if you find yourself in similar weather events (hopefully not though) could you include a few street names so we know which parts of Auckland you filmed in.
I'm sure the National Party will have a lot to complain about and say that they they would have managed this disaster so much better . I feel very sad and sorry for all Aucklander's and townships north of Auckland and also south of Auckland who have had to endure this weather event 😢
Yup I can hear Luxon now blaming the Labour Party for everything. Poor Chris Hipkins copping this issue on his first week but so far he's handling himself well, unlike Mayor Brown.

Just a wee wake up call to Kiwis here - so with all the car dealers flooded and all the cars gone or damaged it's lucky NZ boycotted Russian gas - we don't need it now. We don't need Russian fuel to power the machines to resow the farms to put food back in the shops - we can replace all the food that was in the shops with product from UK, US or Australia - it's going to cost 3 times as much because they can see we actually need it. We're so Lucky we're smack in the middle of World War Three against Russia and Now China if you haven't seen, and we gave all our ammo, weapons and body armour to Ukraine, it was destroyed in the very first RU use of the hyposonic missile, we Lost our own Fuel processing plant, Auckland being the incoming hub of food - imports etc we just lost all our food and toilet paper and we just lost all our crops like potatoes - anything in the ground now is gone. There's shit flowing in the streets and out to sea so for the next 3 months there's no sea food. We are in an american war with a country on the other side of the world, and the only defense we have in The Haka. So cheer up.
