My uncle had a Yellow Fusca Beetle from the 1970s. As a kid I always used to visit, and he'd spend so much time restoring that thing. It took around 6 years and he was done with it, though he sold it a few years back. Was pretty cool seing a car like that get built up.

Since i was born, i grew up next to a beetle. My dad had 2, one for drag racing and one as a daily driver. It was always cool to start them and work on them.

I had 1 of these in high school. Yes, that was an added heater..... mine never had 1 either. Seeing this bug with the frost on brought back some horrible memories, because, when it got cold as in this video, my VW bugs doors never locked. So every time I hit a red light, both doors would fling open.

Fun Fact: VW came out with a gasoline fired heater that was mounted under the front hood inches from the...... fuel tank. And it had a spark plug to ignite the heater. How no one blew up is amazing.

That is an absolute golden find even if there is rust you can buy floor panels and weld them in and replace them ( and it’s easier on the beetles compared to other older VWs)

Holy crap! That's like finding a running, good condition Jedi Fighter left over from the Clone Wars in an Imperial scrapyard! You _gotta_ get that one!

Definitely worth it! And yes, the mirrors are aftermarket, the seats look to be redone but could be original, and the vent under the dash is an electric heater. Good aftermarket and easy to work on if you understand air cooled engines.

YES, BUY IT, they are really simple and if is not rusted in the floor, its a nice thing to show to your kids one day :)

It's not only amazing and astounding but also funny how so many Americans love these cars, my dad had a beetle and a square back and I ended up getting a beetle love that car, mine had good Heat but no blower on the windshield so you had to carry a scraper

Definitely, I own a 72, I think you've found a gem! Yes, the mirrors are aftermarket. That was an auxiliary heater. The original Air-Cooled heat is not great for cold climates. Good find!

I had a brand new’72 Super Beetle and worked dearly love to have it back in new condition. They were tanks and extremely popular in the 60’s and 70’s. Everybody had at least one of them. They were everywhere! Mine was sky blue and had air conditioning plus an 8 track player. Had a neighbor that put a million miles on his Beetle, but I’m sure he would have gone through more than one little engine. 😁

Always worth buying. I remember the repair manual in auto shops for beetles. They were basically pamphlets. Thin and complete. In Germany this was known as the "people's car". Literally the pushstart champ😄. I would buy it and just stingerpipe exhaust out the back with a larger oil pump. Alignment, tires, brake check and road trip. You will get a decent offer before you add 1000 miles.

Hey, if it has solid floor panels then you got a winner. I'm fairly sure those seats have been replaced, I had a 68 and it had the short back seats. I could be wrong. Yes, the mirror was replaced, not original. I have a 73 Beetle, 80,000 original miles, 4 speed automatic. I love my VW Beetles, they are the best, so fun to drive.

Used to have a 69 bug. The mirror definitely aftermarket. Only issue I had when purchased was the undercarriage heater vents were corroded. Also had a little rust on the body. But for 800 bucks I bought it. Fixed it up, bodywork and paint. Had the engine rebuilt with glass pack cherry bomb exhaust. Cool car. Wish I still had it.

Back when I was in high school in the 60's . We always said that a VW bug had every thing a kid could want, bucket seats, stick shift. 2 doors and they were $1995 brand new. They were fun to drive, easy to park and your date was only inches away.
