Several small clips regarding the bird 2 scooter Hack/mods Battery bypass Loosening the scooter neck to pass the throttle wires So they won’t be exposed . 🤟
There is another bypass on the back boardOf the 350 controller supposedly it’s supposed to up the speed !! When I actually try it out I will post the results
it appears the newer Bird 2 scooters have not 5pt or 6pt but 7 point torx security bits. they appear to be very difficult to find. if anyone knows where to buy them it would be greatly appreciated.
i did desolder original bird bms from all 6 pack ive "obtained" and after parallelin them ive added a brand new 60amps ebay bms.... works great thanks bird!
Could you please go over the wiring on the top where the old controller was and what to do with those wires I feel like there's a lot that's not being explained or lane or I'm missing it what do all the wires do on the top and where do you connect them on the controller or the battery pack on the bottom please let me know thank you
Hoka eres mi maestro gracias. Tengo un problema. Como cargar la batería? Si no tengo el cargsdkr cin la misma entrada? Pyedi segior usando el bms o debo cambiarlo? El cintrolador se deja el mismo?❤❤❤❤
Hey bro love your videos.quick question the ninebot kick scooter Max hire scooter has different wiring harness. Do you know what the process is to convert to personal. I was able to buy one that had been thrown in the water ive been able to dry and check all electrical components how im not sure the process now. Any help would be much appreciated
thank you . Unfortunately we don’t have any ninebot scooters in my area , at one point we did but those days are long gone. Nonetheless the wiring should be the same.. if the scooter was here I’d be able to get a better understanding of it
What all is needed to add to the setup to get it working? Isn't there a way to use what it already has? There has to be. I mean it worked before it was messed with... I am having a hard time from your videos figuring out what the bigger picture is. Like what is the steps required to take it from the standard version to working converted?
Just get you a 36 V brushless controller and replace it with the existing controller Connect motor wires Color to color Hall wires color to color And thumb throttle And of course you can’t forget about the famous p+ to b+ output bypass , otherwise your battery pack is useless. Tap into my discord and you will see lots of pictures , videos from about 200+ individuals who have joined . So if you need help beyond this point you can reach out to me there , or in the general section of my discord somebody will get back to you ASAP
running P+ to B+ to get output voltage will override all security features of the BMS....is there any other way to activate the power? i think the green/yellow datawires have something to do with activating the output normally
You can bypass discharge and use the BMS for charging only. This way your BMS doesn't need such high current protection as charging is done with a smaller current. If you wire your BMS so it is only in use when charging your e-board, and gets bypassed when the batteries are being discharged, you can get away with this.
Hi professor I am sammy and I have a bird 2 scooter and I nead help wiring the controller step by step in the video is too fast please and thank you very much love all video thank pj
I already tried using the original controller but I didn’t have too much success at it. That bird Controller communicates with the head unit/brain unit. Both units work together sending codes and commands.that controller is locked/bricked ! It couldn’t even be flashed/reset.. if it has I haven’t seen it , and if it was possible that would be my method of converting the scooters. Trust me !
What do the wires that are coming out right next to the power cable on the battery pack go to there's 5 wires a white clip on a short set of wires where did those get plugged into or did they get ignored
@@pjscootermods ok then I don't know why mine wont work. I have followed instructions and maybe mybcontroller is just bad out of the box. When I put plug in the self study it does spin but the throttle does not work when I go to test it that way I thought maybe I had missed something on those 5 wires were supposed to be connected in somehow
Aye PJ I did it all just like you said. But when I went to plug I'm the power wires to the battery, there was a big spark and the power connectors burnt out all black and shit. Am I doing something wrong? Hit me back please. I'm using a 60V 45a controller. Is that OK?
Yeah as soon as I get home I will shoot you a video. But as far as the controllers are concerned is a 60V 45amp controller OK to use? With the Bird 2 or 3?
@@mjangelo4814 no. The 60 V controller will not work on a bird two or three scooter unless that bird scooter has a 60 V battery to go with the 60 V controller it won’t work,That 60 V Controller that you have now has a cut off voltage at 44 V.And the bird two and three scooter battery at full charge is 42.2 V so that being said that’s not even enough power to activate the controller.
I got a controller now and display but idk what wires go where do I plug the wires from the tire the white red green blue yellow mini wires? Into the controller? And is the bms bypass with big wire because it won't charge because I unplugged everything? And do no wires go to old bms
Hey bro i have a bird scooter 590 model and all i got for it was the pro board but i didnt purchase no controller or nothing like that g is there anyway at all thag i can just use the stock controller and battery and everything elae that is stock to it with that pro board i bought?? If so can u please please just give ne supet quick idea of kinda what to do n i can figure out the rest im pretty good with wiring and electronics etc so i know i can figure it out if you can point me to the right direction please im trying to fix it for my son g can u please help a g out plz??
I believe all controllers are locked and require a signal/command that goes to the brain unit on the bird scooter which tells it to its thing.. trust me I’ve already tried to use the original controller but I was unsuccessful..no luck bro ! But they do have some pretty cheap controllers online.. make sure you stick with a brushless controller ..not a ( brushed controller )
There is not a on off switch on the scooter that’s something you would need to add yourself.. I have a switch coming in the mail it uses a key and it has a voltage readout on it. Pretty simple to install I will make a tutorial on that as soon as I get it
bro,, my throttle isnt workin on my scooter.. im using the original throttle and the wheel spins when i plug the green wires on my controller together.. but when i unplug them then the throttle doesnt do nothing.. ive tied a bunch of resistors.. and i thought one of them was a 30 ohm,, but i guess not.. So it has to be a 30 or 33 ohm resistor on the headlight for it to work? cuz mine dont even work with the light off.
You mean the controller burned out ? Simple all you have to do is replace the parts, don’t replace the whole scooter. Just the controller if that’s what you’re referring to..
Yeah bro as long as it fits inside the bird 2 scooter battery housing you’re good but you want to stick with a 36 V because that’s what the battery is rated at (36v) but if you can find A higher wattage controller then sure go with it.. on eBay there is a couple of micro mini brushless controllers 36 V 500 W PWM.. those are small controllers and will fit inside the bird to scooter but I personally haven’t tried it yet..
Shit I wish ! . If there is I have not found the secret to get it to work. I know you can do that with the lime scooters you can flash the controllers and reprogram them and use the original display/functionalities.. but at this point as far as bird goes I believe the controller firmware is locked/patched or whatever you wanna call it, pretty much useless
The space inside the bird two battery housing is very limited ! But if you can find something that is compact Like a flipsky controller, that should work just fine except those have to be programmed through a computer, from there you can set your own voltage/amperage. You can pretty much customize it how you want, but those cost a little more in price.(controllers)
check out my 46 minute video. With a piece of wire you need to bridge p+ to b+ after doing that you will now have your output.. but until then you have no output it locked
I just got one of these scooters was wondering if I can get some kind of wiring diagram because I don't know anything about these. Also when you wire the thick wire to B+ and P+ is it supposed to spark if so it touched something else on the board at one point and I know it was bad because it left a burned mark. Do you think that ruined the board
If everything looks good put it together check your voltage and as long as your scooter still charges and discharges through your BMS you’re good ! Those are the steps I will take ! But if worse came to worse say the BMS was defective ! At that point I will just replace the whole battery from another bird 2. Those battery packs cost a lot they retail from $273.00-$513.00 Battery specifics👇
Battery specifics 👇 10S6P Battery Pack with LG MJ1 Cells, 21Ah, 60A, 36V Matter fact that’s what I did but with a hub motor I took the whole assembly apart to get to the hub motor brake disc it was only four screws but I needed it.. Brake disc was badly damaged to where the tire would not spin so I replaced it with another one from another bird 2 scooter also got a 400 W motor and 10 inch puncture proof tire out the deal 💪 didn’t need that but sure it will come in handy when I do..
@@pjscootermods wait wait okay so is there a way to basically get this scooter to work using only stock parts? Mines is all stock and what model is the one with the screen on the top
@@unanimouslyannonymous5587 the scooter is a bird 2 And I used this setup 👇 controller/display www.amazon.com/Fafeims-Electric-Controller-Brushless-Display/dp/B07WVR6KN2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=36+350w+controller&qid=1632889828&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=ASYY355FH2ECK&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyWFlPUUhLVVZKNTBSJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTUxOTAzMVVXTjFQODZQV1FTMSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjM3NDAxT1ZUWENLTTNLNDVIJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
@@shawndavis3747 be sure all your wires are connected properly . If you have to buy a thumb throttle go for it ! They are fairly cheap I think about four bucks five bucks .. that can be your issue there. At this point is one of two things either your thumb throttle or the controller you are using..
Everything should be posted in the link description of my videos. It’s not possible to use the existing controller,Not on these newer bird scooters at least. You can get away with it with the lime scooters, as far as these bird scooters go you will need to purchase an aftermarket controller from Amazon.
Man !! that’s the hard part Fr u ain’t lying. I took care of that off-camera shit had me frustrated lol.. use a flat head screwdriver more than one probably be better. Once you see a small opening insert second screwdriver enough to where you can pop that top off both sides
