All day I have been researching AP Royal oak, now I live no where near a boutique and have for 4 yrs concentrated on other brands for my collection BUT today I realise AP is on another level. I love the Royal Oak and it has always been my sons grail. If I am very lucky I feel it is possible to buy a 15500 but for sure the 15202 is my favourite! My son is 16 and the day I can give him his grail that is when he is ready I will give it. A happy day that will be and I hope I live a long life to watch him enjoy it You guys are super cool, sorry Mr Sheik, I do not know your name but I love your enthusiasm for the brand and your knowledge is very deep, thank you for educating me a little more! Best AP Royal Oak video I have seen on RU-vid. Thanks guys for your time and hard work, best wishes to you both...
amazing as usual my friend, love it, keep it up. totally agree with you, would definitely go for the 15500 as a first AP. looking forward for more amazing content.
I agree with you, for me the Jumbo is cool but too thin and smaller case size for my wrist. Looks very fragile and not a first watch in the AP family I would chose as my first. Need a bit more durability.
Depends on your wrist size. If your wrist is 15-18 cm, the Jumbo is simply going to fit better and look better on the wrist. If you have a wrist of >18 cm, the 15510 and its predecessors will fit you better. It’s not a rocket science. Isn’t it better that clothing fits you well? Watches are the same, at least for me.
Would have liked for him to speak a little more in-depth about the 15500 new movement as well as the differences in hand finishing compared to the finishing of the 15500. But excellent video nonetheless. Thx 🙏
Love your channel! Was wondering what’s your view on buying a 77351ST as a first AP watch (Investment piece) or should I go for a more simplified model?
I agree 15300 is much better place to start with. The 202 has few issues like absence of quick set date which new entrants to hobby may find little disappointing
The both wear so different, as do many of the Royal Oaks over the years. However theres nothing quite like the feeling of a Jumbo on the wrist. that would be the favourable choice of many i would imagine.
I had a choice between the two and chose the 15500. Why? Because I wanted an everyday watch and kept reading people say that the 15202 just wasn't meant for that, something I see repeated here. I have yet to regret that choice.
Thanks Shadi, I see why, between and the 15500 however is not a question of ranks but durability. Whilst the 15202 is historical and the closest to the organization 5402 A series, with an intact movement still, the 15500 is your daily wearer, robust and really AP’s step up to finally give us something outside of the offshore line that is can withstand wear and pressure.
@@WatchSociety cheers reda for your reply. I have the 15500 white dial and a 44mm cermaic offshore and both i love but man i can't get rid of that 15202 itch. It is something else!
Good going with the collection Shadi, I know what you mean, it’s way too early for me to think about a 15202, as the 15500 was a grail for me and just in :) but I know the 15202 lust can not be avoided :)
@@WatchSociety love your content by the way reda and was very happy to see you get the aquanaut at this price point :) excellent timing! Keep up the good work mate 👍
I love both watches but if I was to choose it would be the 15202st. It just looks more pleasing on the eye. But I prefer the 15500st over the 15400 as it is bigger size and suits me more. I will probably end up with the 15500st because it is more assessible. It would interesting to see the comparism of the 15202 and 15500 both in the blue dial. Nice review and information.
Overall I would go for the 15300. He spoke to it in the video but the size and Automatic text is very attractive. Prices have gone through the roof :( Even for the Black and White dial.
Tell me your wrist size, and I will give you the correct answer. 100% of the time. I have an 8 inch wrist (20cm) and I have the 15500. The perfect choice - for me. BTW, you should not be wearing EITHER of these watches every day. They are BOTH super delicate, in that the scratch risk is high.
@@WatchSociety bruv, was actually deciding on starting my own channel cos I couldnt find one. ive watched a lot in the past year+ since making the decision to start my collection
This guy talks smack. Calling the 15202 hype is ridiculous. It’s a classic and the steel jumbo extra thin blue dial will be discontinued by 2022- it’s the closest to the 54202 and has the true Royal Oak dimensions
