What tool would you use to get these off

Pry with a flat screwdriver and a cloth ,so as not to scratch the airbag cover .The tabs will break off.

Used a plier to crack them.

They are made of plastic.

Can you take of the chrome bits without disassembling the airbag? That part is scary.

You have to take the airbag out. It has only 2 screws.

I do not know another way to replace it.

You can use any soldering gun.

I did it a year ago, and I don't remember. But, I think it was 10mm or 12mm long. You can buy both and test them.

You don't need to take the wheel apart, only airbag.

I bought them from bricolage store. In my country there are many stores: Bricostore, Leroy Merlin, Baumax, Brico Depot, Dedeman. It costs 1€ for 10 pieces, and are made in different sizes.

Yes. Every time you disconect the baterry, the wheel light will go on. But, if you turn the wheel left and right for a few times, the light will go off.
