Thank you for creating this! For the longest, I've been looking for a visual on how to do this. The cupholders on the Audi A3 8P are not the greatest.

really good video and description on removal of trim...You only need to push the electrical connectors with fingers and pull to remove. The Triangles are called Centre Console Grab Handles...Thanks and again great Tutorial..

Good job. That car interior is really very nice, considering how old it is & the light color.

Finally did the job this weekend. I had discovered I'd somehow misplaced/lost my T15 Torx screw bit... so that left me dead in the water. 2 day delivery from Amazon ($2 shipped w/prime) put me into action. I wrote out everything on paper as a guide after watching twice. A couple of things: 1) use painter's tape to cover your steering wheel airbag cover (it has soft metal accents) and also on the handbrake and shift knob, to avoid any scratches; 2) make sure you have a LONG extension for the hex bolt under the center dash. I didn't, and had to cobble together a few adaptors to finally reach it; 3) careful of the shift indicator bezel, as the plastic "U" clips are thin and brittle; 4) anytime you're dealing with a non-magnetic screw bit, be sure to have a cloth below to catch the bit or the screw/bolt in case it falls; and last, 5) have at least 2 small LED flashlights on hand, preferably one with a magnet surface, which are handy for focused illumination.

Great job. I have just got myself an Audi A3 3.2. No armrest so was going to attempt the aftermarket fit. Guess I need to cut a hole in the centre console for it to fit into?

Wonder if a NA console works on a Euro, since the cupholder seems to be a bit more convinent then on a Euro car

Pretty sure the German car uses metric fasteners… they are 8mm not 5/16 and all those connectors are meant to easily be done by hand, not broken with a flathead
