One of the reasons for this is due to the fact that it would not be cost-effective to upgrade the engines to comply with the stricter emission norms.

Both are front wheels but bmw feels more sporty and have a better tech package as of the present time, since new a3 will be launched this year so no fun of buying the older face.. overall bmw is a better package in case of drive, tech, and generation

Go for audi. Performance k liye ( not talking about performance versions of both M2 or S3 RS3) if you want very good performance anf tech pack and all wheel drive ( Quattrro or Xdrive) go for Audi. Audi is little bit expensive to maintain then BMW.
