Best view(s) of the "flapper valve" I've ever seen - no pun intended. I really wanted to know what makes up that part.. I didn't realized the fiber/plastic material was so prominent. I thought it was mostly aluminum. Thanks so much!
I got both codes at the same time. This confused me. Thinking it unlikely that both sides would fail at the same time. Thanks for explaining that the failure was the diaphragm and that once one fails the vacuum leak will throw both codes. Feel like I’m now ready to fix it!
Hey, I'm glad u stopped by the channel. Yes once u get a vacuum leak anywhere on that part of the system u loose the ability to actuate either flap and you get both codes. If u have any other questions let me know. Also please subscribe. I need the support.
Great video very interesting, I have similar issue. The intake manifold are stuck closed bank 1 /2 and my intake manifold are stuck opened bank 1/2. I'm going to try to test the actuators. I've already changed the 1 solenoid I believe there's 2 solenoids 1 at the back of the supercharger and 1 on top the right hand...
The device is spring loaded so it should always be able to close and requires vacuum to open. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe. I need your support. I'm also available to help.
Yes if you have the codes on both Banks then it could definitely be a failed actuator or just a vacuum line or it could be the solenoid valve. My experience was the actuator which happens to be the most expensive part. Troubleshooting will be the same.
@@LuisMartinez-vz8ug There is a link in the video description, but I still do not think it can be ordered. I have had no success finding it anywhere else. You may be able to find one in your local salvage yard or maybe EBAY, but I have had no success so the dealer was my only option. Check with a VW dealer and use the part numbers in the video. You may get the same part cheaper than the Audi Dealer.
