@@alexsternerup5636 in the tech manual it literally states that the course setter should set the first gate so racers should be able to proceed "straight" out of the start house, avoiding or forcing the racer to move or skate laterally across the hill....after watching the first race, I see, sort of why they did it...the first race has them coming straight out and then into a right hand turn....with this race being reset and the first turn being a left hander, they needed to move the racers to right as quickly as possible...it still seems goofy to me thou. With proper forethought they just need to set up the start house so both options are a possibility...but ship happens...just m.o.
@@alexsternerup5636 Reevaluation....they didn't change the first turn form right to left from race one to race two. But they did move the first gate further over to skiers right for race two....making it further of the fall line of the start house...
