This is the absolute pinnacle of snowboarding and skiing entertainment. I hope they just don't start applying the same criteria to this as big air making it just another washing machine spin cycle. Those laid back no-spin runs are the best IMO.

I mean Halldor got rewarded pretty good for being creative here, Marcus has more spins, but he is also just really good at knuckle tricks and does a lot of different things very controlled. So I think this contest in a fine spot.

Yep, big air is boring really, just too much spin and everything looks the same and it's all so intense, the fun is being optimized out of the tricks

Knuckle Huck has been a breath of fresh air in competitive snowboarding. IMO big air has become like gymnastics, tucking and spinning as fast as possible doesn't look that good.

Mate it's even worse for us skiers. Now that 2160's are the way to win it's just dudes doing pencil spins, no different to arials. I honestly find the womens big air more entertaining at this point because style is still a factor there.

If they dish out medal on the basis of complexity/difficulty the event is over. If they want to protect the integrity of this event top 3 lineups should be determined be by vote of the participants. That is the best for the contestants and often best for the sport (in extreme sports)
