In this video we have an Audi Q2 with a coolant leak from the water pump. We will show you the process of how we go about replacement of the water pump assembly and the tools required. #audi #waterpump #mechanic
Great video Exactly what I needed to know. Doesn’t seem any special tools required. Do you need to add any gasket glue or is the replacement just a straight fit? Also what’s the part number as I’ve got 2017 Audi a3 1.4. Steve
Fantastic video, gives me the confidence to tackle the job myself. One question though, what are the torque settings for the 5 bolts that hold the water pump on?
We use a vacuum bleeder when filling them usually. If no bleeder allow it to run at idle until the thermostat opens, and this is usually work fine. If you have an air lock then removing the small bleed hose at the pump whilst engine running can help get the air out.
@@aussietunedandenong5736 Thank You very much my good sir, you are amazing... THIS is the BEST RU-vid video out there of a water pump replacement for a 1.4TSI/DSG combo, I'm using this to replace mine on a 2014 Golf Mk7 1.4TSI/DSG. You obviously are an expert who completed full job in under 20mins.. us amateur weekend warrior mechs should be able to do it in under 2hrs!!! :-S I was being quoted £450 by independent mechanics and £500 by VW.. bought the original pump/belt from VW for £178, let the adventure start!!! :)
