For the hands free kick sensor (with the keys in your pocket). Have you tried to kick one time under the middle of the bumper and then take 2 steps back? Think the car uses the parking sensors to make sure you don’t get hit by the tailgate when it opens.
Just got mine and thought they forgot to mount the sensor for boot. But you have to stand on the left en make a kick. It is stated in the manual as well. Think they moved it since you often opened or closed the boot when assembling the tow hitch 😂
That infotainment feels so old and not user friendly. I was thinking exactly the same as you Bjorn… it seems so similar and complicated as my wife’s eGolf! Even the font and buttons… Infotainment and info on display needs improving/bringing to 2023 Audi!!! Must show SOC %!! And still thirsty car (no need to be so massive) and compromised as not EV platform like Tesla or MEB, etc… I got disappointed when they announced the new fat etron that it was pretty much the same… not enough difference/improvement for me… still feels years old.
As Audi fan i'm really disappointment for this design, can someone tell me what's the difference this model compare to regular Audi Etron ? come on Audi your much better than this
Audi didn’t update the exterior and especially the lights because they did an opinion poll with the customers and all of them were satisfied with the headlights as well the rear lights. Furthermore the car is not that pricey in Austria if you have a company you can nearly fully equip the car for 80 k and get it for 60 k because you can write off 20 percent plus 6 percent environmental bonus

I was watching this video and I have to admit, I'm a bit confused. I mean, this car looks nice and all, but I'm not sure how it can be the perfect family car. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but it seems like it's missing something important - variable interior. I mean, when you compare it to a family van, for example, there's just so much more space and luggage space, and you can adjust the interior to fit your needs. Plus, most vans have 7 comfy seats. Maybe I'm missing something, but that's just my two cents!
This isn't a great family car and I don't think it's meant to be. In the same way you wouldn't call an A6, A8 or Q8 (oh hang on!) a family car. It is far bigger footprint than my 7 seater cmax, but I struggled getting three car seats in the back of my e-tron 50 (due to seatbelt positioning), and there's no flexibility with seating positions. To be fair the boot is good (though still prob not quite as big as the cmax, and def not with the seats down). It's designed to carry around adult executives, and to look impressive. Practicality wise, I don't think it has much above a ford focus, they will both take 5 people around with some luggage.
Comparable with a ford focus? I think there's something like 200 litres difference in seat up boot capacity. This etron was excellent when it first came out because there wasn't much competition in the SUV space. It is very practical and has served me and my family well, 2 kids 2 dogs. We've been on road trips with the family and luggage loaded and an inflatable 3 man rowing boat folded under the boot floor. Nowadays there are many more options in this segment and whilst this facelift is enhanced with more efficient motors and larger battery, there are probably better options now for families.
@@chrischild3667 Yes boot space is good, and you make a fair point that there weren't many options for larger cars back then. Manufacturers seem to be ending MPV-style cars, but those were the optimum space vs exterior size/efficiency vehicles, especially for families. I don't find the e-tron has a good ratio of exterior size to interior useable space (except the boot!).
@@marcel151 'not all people want vans'. You're right, and manufacturers seem to be ending their MPV ranges. But I think we need to ask - why do people not want a van? They are the optimum interior space and usability to outside size. I like them because you can get a decent floor to ceiling height. But people don't like the image of driving a van.
I tried the configurator but it was so useless. It doesn't explain anything. I didn't understand the differences between Normal and Sport variant (whatever the name was), the different packs and options - nothing was explained other than the price. I wish there was a youtuber that would explain car configurator options.
At least I don't have to see an old model on my old ford fusion's infotainmemt system. Come on, Audi. For that money, you have to get your shiiiit together.
I can see they used the same interior-designer like most other manufactures - I think he`s called Mr. All-Black? Thats very progressive, forewardthinking and uplifting ;-)
Minimal improvements over the original "fat" e-tron. No real innovation in ~4 years of e-tron branded cars in production. Old interior, no software improvements, no interesting features. Always present Legacy Automaker Lag. Focusing on meme features like camera mirrors and legacy "fossil car feel" like huge front grill, the start/stop button and kWh/100 km consumption figures. ~75 000 EUR starting price for a smaller battery. I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere.
Well it is only a facelift. New platform for Audi is coming in 2024 with the A6 e-tron and the Q6 e-tron. Q8 is probably getting a new generation after those two.
