The R8 is just about the perfect racing car - beautiful balance, predictable behavior, smooth power, absolutely confidence-boosting, just a pleasure to drive. (That sound ain’t too shabby either!)
wytblur I was to say that as well!... That V10 has one of the most beautiful "symphonies" I have ever heard, that's a bit why I have the R8 LMS on my top 5 favorites! (^^)
Yes thank you for doing that. Most videos cut off as soon as a car flys by, but I love the fact that you keep rolling because one of the best parts is hearing it shift up or downshift in the distance. Thank you for your videos, music to my ears!
I saw the R8 LMS a few times during the ADAC GT-Masters. It's really the loudest of all cars running thery. Love the V10 Sound it's simillar to the Dodge Viper and old F1-Cars. Great Sound and thanks for sharing that beatifull machine with us petrolheads.
The blue flashing light means that the car belongs to the top 35 fastest cars on the track. When a slower driver sees a blue flashing light, he must give space to let him pass by

My friends father owns a black one and takes it to local track days here. Since I used to race Shifter karts and did a 24 hour in an old M3 he said: 5 laps. Be careful. My fucking GOD what a machine! took me till the 4th lap to have the balls to power out of a corner full on. Audi knows how to make race cars!

I still don't understand how there can be dislikes for any of your videos. Yeah it might not be your favorite car, but I think true gear heads can appreciate speed and awesome sound no matter the car.
I've always been wondering, why do cars make a pop or bang noise when they change gear?. A good example of this are the FIA GT1 cars. Why does it make that noise ??.
This pop or bangs are misfires and they develop while shifting because unburnt petrol inflamed in the exhaust. Racecars often have these because they inject more petrol than normal cars to develop more hp.
