People who hate on the R8 usually have never driven it. It is a demon, and it promises so much more than its looks would have you believe. Just watch out for the accelerator pedal, very thin accelerator pedal

Porsche was always more sporty than audi

I did a track day in Vegas and the instructor did a hot lap in a Porsche Macan first. That was an SUV not at all optimized for the track, and it was still one of the most thrilling experiences ever. Watching this woman experience a supercar on the track made me remember how awesome it was.

What!!! The Old 911 996 was a zillion times better. Even as a convertible. Besides, it is prettier, sounds deeper and handles like nothing else.

Porsche uses model numbers and project numbers. Each individual vehicle is a project number and sequential numbers are usually evolutions or successors to the previous projects. Projects that were successful were badged as models and include the 356, 550 spyder, 911, 924, 944, 928, and 968. Their current super project is the 918 which is an ongoing project number. The 911 model has had many project numbers such as the 930 and 935, the 959 rally car and the current 997.

What BMW is that in the beginning? It seems to be the size of a 3 series, but when this was released, the new 3 series was still a secret and the facelifted 3 series didnt have that shaped headlights. So is it a 5 series? length suggests no, since the new 5 series is basically the same length as the old 7. Any help here. I've looked at several side shots of many BMW's and can't figure this out?

@cpbowler In a sense, yes. But from a technical point of view, the Audi is mid-engined because its engine isn't behind the rear wheels like the Porsche. And yes, there is a difference.
