What's up with the gears? When you throw it in 3rd the rpm's drop like 2-3k rpm and all the other gears are really close together like it should. Also, my S3 is almost standard and does 100kph in 2nd gear, at 0:41 in your vid 2nd gear ends at 80kph at 8000rpm!?!
I would say that maybe its down to real world vs lab conditions. Also this guy is rowing gears on a highly strung 4 cylinder with a relatively short powerband. Peak power is not everything :-)
true! one of the few good comments. lab vs street 0-1, peak vs powerband 0-1. anyway, on awd drag spec (like this) the powerband doesn't really count because the car had launch control, antilag etc. ... on daily use powerband makes difference!
@@taswellbarthus4032 yes we have many projects like that around , and this is realy slow for 600 hp , what is the 100-200 time ? also its little laggy , slow spool between 1-st and 2-nd , it has 500hp car statistics on the times you show , and i dont realy know why u putted so much efford and use stock throttlebody, we have here bw S257sxe cars with 480 hp and one with 520 hp and both have 11-11.5 1/4mile times with faster 100-200 and faster 0-200 times , also with light wheels like yours , we have a 600hp golf 5 here with dsg complete street equipped car standart in and out with 10.9 time , and its heavy atleast 100kg more than that S3 , also has 7.1 100-200 time, so when i say its slow for 605hp i mean it !
@@Chostera this is not my car lol But even so, there are too many factors/ variables which determine 1/4 mile times. 605bhp is 605 bhp at the end of the day. And it is in no way slow!
@@gabrielvanya8245 that's like saying I have a stock block.... That's been fully built with forged rods, upgraded pistons, forged crank, stroker kit and the list goes on... Yea sorry to say but it's no longer a "stock" block, same principle applies to the head.
"Any idiot can get 1,000 Hp from an engine" Best quote. It is not hard to get peak power, however actually utilising the power onto the wheels is hard, hence Bhp is irrelevant to Whp. Also 11.27 sec for 0-120mph is extremely slow especially at 605hp. Sorry man not impressed but cool project.
If you dont like it dont make it like this. But iif you think 600ps with only rods stock pistons set of cams and aftermarkets isnt worth you lost the point of the tuning.
you dont know what you'r talking. what car do you drive?! slow for 605 hp? take into consideration that this is a pretty heavy car... 1.5t. 10.5 sec/402m for a 1.5t 605hp is good.

11.8 sec 1/4mile is not great for a car with that power. Ive seen a car with under 300hp do 11.3 sec 1/4 for literally a fraction of the cost of this build
@Lee Alton.. its relative and not just based on power alone. You cant compare another build, too many variables (ratios, weight, tyres, differential etc etc)
