Hey thanks a lot for that vidéo ! I've done the job on my '16 Léon Cupra and it save me so much time ... Now it's ready for Magny Cours F1 track ;) with about 30kg less weight
@@TheEddysGarageokay thankyou. I did it with out disconnecting the battery 😂 and so far when starting the car up it shows that someone is sat there. It comes up saying the seat belt is connected which is fine as it doesn’t beep or anything so all good
Thanks! Finally, an idiot-proof guide for this action. Mother-in-law put a homemade fish pie on the back seat, and it spilled all over the fabric seat base. Car utterly stinks! Needed to get the rear seat base out to clean it properly. Life saver tutorial.
Awesome video man! I appreciate it a lot & you got yourself a subscriber, I have a 2015 golf high line diesel, would really like to see some more weight reduction for anything on this car, so far I got stage two Malone tune & full exhaust with full emissions delete, also I took out my def tanks & wiring after tune & exhaust. For more weight reduction I removed the bottom front plastic skid plate & other one under engine bay as I don’t need & helps get mor heat out from underneath, & I took the hood liner out & also the big cover over the top of my Diesel engine, it is ugly without it, but it dissipates more heat & also less weight as it was a lot heavier then I thought.
I would keep the undertray on as it real helps with cooling and aerodynamics. The battery is often overlooked for weight reduction and going to a large lithium motorcycle battery can save over 10KG of high mounted front end weight. That is next on my list. There is also a lot of sound deadening under the carpets and rear plastic panels that can all come out. The carpet can go back in and it look normal, just a bit louder. I have a light race seat for the car as well but haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
Thanks for those details bud ! however i tried today its so tuff ! i failed for the moment! should i try to leave the isofix first totally before trying to move, maybe it can help ?
@@TheEddysGarage yep bro i did it thanks a lot u help me so much with ur vid! is there a trick to replace the back seat after? didn't try yet im working on the fuel pump but today i replace everything :)
Nice video! Question for you, do you know which one of the plugs underneath the rear seats is for haldex? Trying to disconnect it for running mine on the Dyno in 2wd. I believe one plug is the fuel pump, the other is haldex. Curious if you knew which one is which lol thanks!
@@TheEddysGarage no worries I appreciate your response. I actually contacted USP Motorsports and they actually recommended this procedure. Check their latest Dyno video for their RS3. 2wd run on a Dyno jet. 😀 I'll get under there and see what's under the covers.
The Eddy’s Garage I pulled out my seat and taped the metal frame of the cushion, and it’s cured! However, I broke the rear air outlet bent when i was pulling the seat out😂😂😂😂
