in my opinion the D4 facelift sline/s8 is the best looking Audi sedan that has come out after the year 2000. for sportback i would say the first generation pre facelift A7. for coupe definitely R8 first generation.
Yes it Is. I have a 2014 w12 and it's the Finest interior in a Sedan Ever. Even Nicer than the Arnage, Ghost, S65 and 2017 Flying Spur I've Had. A Work of Art. The current A8 Dashboard is Horrible!
I mean electric cars offer a lot of possibilities but when they have no sound that is a sense of the body that gets no stimulation anymore.. And you would have to compensate the lost fun by driving faster or whatever.. Meanwhile with an internal combusion car it can be slow but as long as it sounds great it will be quite fun to drive.. So sound is a very important factor emotionally.. Maybe in the future electric cars will be able to simulate gearshifts and engine sound really well, would be cool if this is configurable to your liking, yeah it won't be the same as a true internal combustion car but at least a lot more fun than normal electric
@@memorimusic420Hating on someone because one prefer ICE is inapropriate at least. I dont know how old You are and where did you get Your attitude but man...
Max you are not the only one... most car people miss the old days! I am with you bro! The screens are absolutely stupid.... if i want a big screen i go to my living room... its insane that a car is now based off the size of its screen... what a pretty machine this was i wish car brands would make good cars again like this one and not cheap out trying to make production of cars cheaper and cheaper while making the prices higher every year! Love the reviews @autotopnl keep it up!
car companies do not realise that screen mania is appealing only for very limited segment of customers, mainly the tesla guys and alike. But for many people screens are disctracting, unnecesary and ugly. Look at recent BMW models where they even do not bother integrate screen into the panel, but bolt it on with some DYI holders on top of the panel. After 20-30 years the scientists will be talking about damage of the screens to our brains and health the same way they now starting to talk about sugar.
I'm no Audi fan what so ever, but that thing man. I always adored this particular generation of the A8/S8. If I ever get myself an Audi, it will most certainly be an S8 Plus.
being from the area, the S8 is built 10km from the A8, but yeah, it's an awesome car. Done 50km in under 15 Minutes once in this beast (nighttime AUtobahn Frankfurt to Heilbronn, over 300 for MINUTES). It's just awesome.
Audi RS6 C7 Performance, Audi RS7 C7, S8 are the cars that no new Audi RS series would beat by look, sound, interior, and so on, those cars will always be remembered as the best ones ever made by the Audi RS series!
Fahre seit 3Jahren dieses Auto.Purer Wahnsinn!
I bought my S8 plus in 2020 by accident. These cars came at that time as a leasing returns into the Audi shops and everybody had Corona panic. As a result it was crazy cheap at that time. Personally I like that the cars does not look like the other RS bodybuilder cars, nor does the V8 sound like these gangster style AMG´s, which you only want to drive, if you wear a black full beard. Thank god it still has the old good looking cockpit and not the cheap oversized displays, you propavly also find in a basic Skoda. The interior is absoltely stunning and its a pure peasure to sit inside anytime. Its always fun to beat up BMW´s, Porsches and other sportscars, while speeding with 300Km/h on the Autobahn.
Love an S8. In the UK you can pick one up for circa £20k which is just nuts! Granted running costs are a lot but I can’t think of any other used car that offers so much value. I want one!
Im glad the badges arent blacked out, thats what people do on VW Golf ricers, it looks much better this way and on that car its certainly a badge to be proud of
Looks so much better than all the models after this one. This is my fav Audi. The headlights are beauties. And the complete lack of screens on the inside is the reason why this is one of the cars I'm looking into as my next car candidate.
Das beste Auto der Welt er kann alles !!! Bin den 230tkm gefahren verkauft mit 300tkm er hat mich nie im Stich gelassen !!! Erste Bremsen seid dem Kauf !!! Ich vermisse ihn ❤
13:24 Too bad that you don't have the Cadillac CT5V Blackwing over in Europe. It would have been interesting to see where she would have landed in this list. I have a 2024 with the 6-speed manual. I have also owned four Audi's in the past including a D2 S8 - nice cars.
Man, I am not the Audi guy at all, but the headlight look gorgeous! Went to look up the generation and damn... had to go back to 2017 to find a similar spec car... You can get ABT tuned ones with 706hp for around 60k€ with no damage and less than 50kkm. Wouldn't really say no...
That windshield tint might be a color of a reflective film, similarly to how optical glasses can have a anti-glare protection on it. Maybe I am wrong, but I still like how it looks with it.
Hahaha no. The era where car companies didn't care about the environment is before they started putting catalytic converters into the cars. Since then they have cared. Noone is stopping them from building a screaming naturally aspirated car now they just don't build it because noone would buy it and they would have no profit.
i dont think thats a tint on the front window there. thats an ir reflective coating for heat reflection. many cars have a blue hue in the front windscreen, sometimes its gold/red/copper ish as well.
I really like the A4 I have such a nice car, my neighbour has an S8.. I think if I had the money this would be my daily driver and S8 Plus.. rather than the RS6. Just a bit classier and less in your face.
This being produced in a special Audi Sport factory is news to me. The only two cars produced there are the R8 and etron GT and I've walked these production facilities every day for a while so...
@@panton7842 honestly... Yes it has an Audi Sport VIN, but that has literally nothing to do with the production line it was build on. It's just registered as an Audi Sport product, which is more of an internal business decision than anything else.
@@jsracing1416 that's not true the engine in the S8 Plus model has the code DDTA and is only available in this model Look youtube "Tech Comparo: Audi RS7 4.0 TFSI vs S7 4.0 TFSI" S8 D4 and S8 Plus D4 Total different engine.
@@panton7842 I don't need to look at a video, I've literally worked at the Audi's pre series center in Neckarsulm and was part of the development of the A6, A7 and to some degree A8. I know it has an upgraded engine (as mentioned in the video) which it shares with the RS6/7 Performance. But guess what, all engines are assembled in a different faciltiy and then shipped to the factories. I merely stated that the S8 plus was not build in a different factory, because while there is an acutal Audi Sport production facilty, which is also in Neckarsulm but roughly 20km away from the main Audi plant in the city, the only two cars being build there are the R8 (ending) and etron GT. The S8 plus was assembled on the same production line as all other A8's and guess what, the RS6/7 are produced on the same assembly line as all other A6/7's (with exception of chinese models like A7L and all that other bs, which is assembled in China). Obviously they have different parts build into them. It's what differentiates them and makes them into RS model but again, all I was saying is that they weren't build in a 'special Audi Sport factory'. It's really not that hard to comprehend.
