Performance suv is fine, performance 7-seater suv is just stupid....you pay so much for a big engine which would have been amazing fun in a sedan, and you don’t see any in your suv
It’s very sad that car reviewers aren’t impressed by a 90.000£ performance suv that cruises with 100 mph stable through a corner. This thing is nuts with all its technology. More appreciation for such a vehicle please
Mat about Diesel "sporty" cars: "Meh, a petrol engine would fit the car better!" Also Mat about the petrol SQ7: "Meh, a Diesel does just suit this kind of a seven seater SUV better!"
That's axactly what was in my mind. When he reviewed the diesel before he complained of it not fast enother saying petrol would fit it better but now he's saying opposite ??? This did 0-60in 3.8sec that's very impressive faster than SVR range rover sport
You know that sound was coming from the exhaust speaker right? This audi including other vw and skoda performance cars has a speaker in the exhaust system
Matt, you only turned off the traction control. If you keep holding the "traction off" button the ESC will turn off as well. I find in our SQ7 it pulls even harder with the ESC off as well. Great vid bud!
I’m on my 2nd SQ7 Vorsprung I’ve had both the diesel and now the petrol, perfect performance for the school run with 4 kids, great cars the petrol is more fun but the diesel was way more fuel efficient and the new one does have Active Roll Stabilisation and sport differential 👍🏻 I will do a Video review on it soon. Nice to see the 0-60 nobody ever believes me how quick it is.
18:20 - well said. I have a 2017 SQ7 and it is a phenomenal 7 seat SUV but I wish it would look meaner and more badass. Without looking closely, you won’t know it’s a beast. But SQ7 does have more room than the X5
There's absolutely no need for it...just like BMW doesn't have M Power for the X7...still can't get why Merc offers 63S for the GLS..such a big bulky car to get such an engine..

We have a 2019 SQ7 and we have traveled from France to Turkey on a road trip, there are 6 of us in the family, and I can assure you that it is a great car
How did you find the consumption for that? I have a model X currently, so I don't think the speed would blow me away. I'm looking into either the q8 or sq7 but would imagine the sq7 is quite bad consumption for high milage users? I still want some performance as well.
Can you do a comparison between the old SQ7 (diesel) and new SQ7 (petrol); would be good to see the difference in power (HP & Torque) and acceleration and braking. Thank you.
Love it but for me the 50TDI delivers a very similar overall ownership experience for significantly less cash which is why it is where my hard earned ended up. In terms of annoying parts, you should mention the rubbish folding system for the middle row seats, the tiny glovebox and the rear seatbelts that rattle when not fastened. Overall though, what a great package and in my experience a much better steer than the X7. That performance is also incredible for a seven seater.
I like that the middle row of seats have 3 isofix anchor points. Most only have 2. The only other I've found is the Citreon C4 Grand Picasso/Spacetourer
There are handles on the back of the second row seats to fold them up and forward. Car reviewers always make it look more complicated to climb back there than it is.
The amount of speed humps in my area and also the 4 times my alloys cracked on my saloons in the past, I have no choice but to buy a suv, and this is not a bad shout, at the moment got a x5 m50d at the moment and lease is up in July so will have to test drive one of these, and I am defo using car wow for the best lease deals!
Exhaust repair claim isn’t PR, I don’t reckon. Insurance is higher if minor collisions can cause huge expense. I’ve heard anecdotally that on some cars repairers have to use special paint that allows the radar to pass through when bumpers are repaired. Which adds to costs and bumps the cars into higher insurance groups. So the exhaust thing makes a lot of sense. Many car claims are parking speed shunts.
Why isn’t the SQ7 offered with carbon ceramic brakes in the UK like it is in other markets, and why is it no longer offered with active roll stabilisation when it’s available on the SQ8?
Yeah your right, I also sold my X5 (after 3 years) with 7 seats and got this and its somuch better for carrying 7 and I can get 3 car seats in the middle row when only carrying 5, its amazing.

They integrate the exhaust tips in the bumper so they don’t have to align the exhaust. That’s why you can see that the actual exhaust isn’t centered at all
Yeah, this is why we bought it, needed 7 seats to include the Mother in Law in our journeys, whilst also being able to get 3 car seats in. The 500hp is just a bonus 😂. Could of saved money with a diesel Q7 but its nice to be able to get the speed and the sound you want and do eberything else as well.
11:55 - 12:12 the Q7's actual main competitors are the GLE and X5, hence the SQ7 would be competing with the X5 M50i and the GLE 53 AMG, which are priced around the same. The X7 and GLS are remarkably larger than the Q7 and would be competing (if there was one) with an "Q9"
2:19 the old SQ7 even diesel one had real exhaust pipes mate, S6, s7s do got fake but SQ7 never had, even the picture you're showing is of real exhausts you can see
Having worked for many German manufacturers I can tell you that exhaust fakery is done mostly to save cost - they require less expensive stainless steel and save time in assembly.
Think the diesel was a perfect engine to this car. It's a car for eg owners of mid construction companies, who want to show off a lil bit and at the same time travel a lot. It was strong, preety fast and ... unique in compare to other (from VW ;)) brands (v8 diesel). If you want a performance suv, might always choose RSQ8
carwow should also now atleast some times drive the cars in the dark as it would show how good the lights are and as would be a great real world test of them as in the real world we don't only drive our vehicles during day time

I just bought a Q7 50 S line from a Range Rover Sport and everything about it is better.... Except. - ride height - looks - road presence Still happy with the change... Two baby seats with alot more space!
