I've just met Marian in Augsburg Germany and used this tool... It's a "cheap" piece of art that tool. In 2 minutes he removed that bolt, without any problems, without using any heat or even WD40. And the cost to make it was under 20 Euros. It'a fenomenal that tool, and Marian is a great man.
Fabulous hand made tool 👍👍 I've made a similar but much simpler tool (because I'm not an engineer) to do the same job. It consists of a 120 mm length of metal box section, some M10 threaded bar, two 'long' M10 connecting nuts (one for connecting the threaded bar to the pinch bolt and one used for 'pulling' the pinch bolt through the metal box section) and a couple of M10 thick washers/spacers, all costing approximately £20.
Brilliant. So simple. Why do mechanics panic with this job? I am going to do my brothers audi a5 after 3 garages tried and failed. I have my own lathes and milling machines so was going to make a tool. As it is so simple won't take long and no need for my fancy machines. The obvious trick is to deliberately shear off the head of the stuck bolt first.
@@mariangeorge367 Nice tool, but unfortunately it will not work at my car, A6 4F, there is no space for such a tool, because the steering arm blocks the path.
@@mariangeorge367you are sitting on a gold mine. So many Audis with this problem and so many frustrated owners and mechanics around the world! Start making it and sell. I'm sure it will be popular.
Servus! Ich möchte auch etwas kaufen von dir! Kannst du mir sagen was muss ich machen? Kann ich meine Handy Nummer schicken und kann wir gleich auf WhatsApp schreiben
