So in this video I’m going to show you something super trick and super sweet if you own a Audi of any sort or a volts wagon and you’ve ever had trouble getting the breather tube off of the valve cover this is in genius what I’ve done!!!! I use a 9/16 1 1/4 #12 clamp

Dude; awesome little trick! I was noodling on this one for awhile too. But I wimped out right quick and went to the web and found your video. These days any car manufacturers use a slew of fancy-ass gadgets to connect and retain all of the different wires and hoses on their vehicles. Usually, a reasonably sharp wrencher can figure out how to get them off without destroying them - not this one. Anyway, thanks for the help.👍👍👍

Just used a zip tie also but on a newer a3 no room for a normal quick release tool or even the hose clamp but the zip tie worked like a charm

I’m not quite certain if there’s supposed to be a tool there or he was too dumb to understand how to cut a hose clamp apart or maybe there’s something that I don’t understand anything‘s possible but I’m certain one of the two of us are ignorant. I don't have a hose clamp at the moment. What is the normal way for removing that fitting?

If I could’ve got it off the way you’re supposed to get it off I wouldn’t of use the clamp...... technically you’re supposed to just squeeze the damn thing and it’s supposed to remove but most of the time they break. So unless you need to replace them plastic tubes I recommend you go get yourself a hose clamp like I did and remove it or maybe they make some kind of tool that I don’t know of

I’m assuming you’re not talking about the piece that’s connected to the valve cover....... If you snap the other piece you need to remove the intake and replace the lines that are underneath it you will see them immediately.

Just use a pick or a thin screwdriver...that's how I do it. No need for cutting, drilling, bending, prying, pliers, etc...

You wanna replace it . You have to remove the intake usually to get to them lines better to do it now and do it right so you don’t have problems down the road because it will suck air and possibly cause significant harm.

Lol, Use a flat head Screwdriver and a hammer. Set the flat head on the lip of the Breather hose. It will set off with just two hits with hammer. What a good mechanic who teaches idiotic methods.. he spoiled the hose at 3:31. What a mechanic😂. Btw use Some lube like WD.
