I mean, they would have flown in the R18 and all the rally cars from wherever they were being stored, right? they probably just actually wanted Doug and his RS2

@@apakslactually no. all the old cars and IMSA, S1 and R18 are filmed in Germany. Specifically 4:33 - 4:56, 5:23 - 6:22 (even the roundabout - you can see german type of houses and church tower)

It felt like a Sunday movie and I didn't want it to end.

Actually, germans do like fun, even if it is a bit bizarre (which this absolutely is). You can sort of see why though. This almost-short-film has little meaning and is all over the place. Well, at least it's fun and car commercials are usually beyond dull so this is a nice change of pace. Anyway, it is, according to the rumors, most likely just Audi of America arguing with Audi AG and they had to take it down.

I can actually see why they have, Audi is s luxury brand and I don't think all the details of the cars come off very luxury, it all looks very ordinary, you just wouldn't do stuff like that with those cars that cost so much...it does appear to cheapen the value a bit in my opinion. However it does look fun but this sort of fun just doesn't seem right for the Audi brand. I get it

@@suicidallooneypro I understand what you mean and Audi AG definitely thought the same but the problem is (not just with Audi but all german brands) that they are so obsessed with being serious and doing everything else at the same time. They want to be fun and appeal to younger buyers but then are too greedy and afraid to disturb their business customers and high-end market that in the end they just lock themselves into the dullest corner where no one cares. This commercial and it's existence (or lack of now) is a prime example of that.

Because it's an Asian man with a white woman. Its the bias against any positive AM representation in general, that actually challenges stereotypes or misconceptions about AM.

The Audi bosses didn't like how it portrayed Audi and didn't understand the point of the commercial, that's what I've heard.

I would assume German song for German brand. Also I guess water balloons aren't that far fetched from normal balloons (Luftballons literally translated is air balloons) so it fits the general theme
