I used to live in Roanoke, VA, not far from where Audie died in Catawba, VA. This is a wonderful tribute to this fine young man. A true American hero. A real man's man!

Audie Murphy should make every one be proud to be called an American that are living in this great country, the U.S.A.

What a beautiful song to pick as a tribute to Audie Murphy. He was a man's man and from everything I've read about him a very decent, loyal, kind and good hearted man who worked hard to become a better actor. He didn't even know how to ride when he went to Hollywood and worked on his riding and his quick draw until he was one of the best at both in Hollywood. When learning to ride, that is when he developed a lifelong love and appreciation of horses. I wish I could have met him.

Audie became a best selling author, a great western actor, wrote songs, mostly country, was a composer and music arranger, not bad for a guy whom only attained a fifth grade education... Audie was gifted from God with many wonderful talents and he used them to his advantage to go on to help many, especially helping the return soldiers receive the professional help they so needed, he even spoke openly about his own struggles he suffered as a result of his war years and the horrific things he witnessed... The greatest hero of them all Audie Leon Murphy.. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE AUDIE.... I love it, I broke down i haven't Did that I lost my 2 younger sister's. I guess i needed that. I am 75 and i am silly but i was about 11 or 12 and i fell in love and i still feel that way.My mom was the best mom if his movie came to town i got to go see it and tv came out my dad had to watch westerners so i seen him a lot. What movie was when he looked like he died they showed it I hope Emily Sullivan you can tell me. THANK YOU SOO MUCH.
