I love the MI connection vs having to use a mic cable. I wish it had 32-bit float recording and some screen of some sort to be able to see levels, etc.
Yes Sir. The new Sony wireless microphones should be like new in 2021 now 32 bit float recording and screen and noise reduction in this kind of microphones should be obvious. I couldn’t wait for this kind of mic, but… I will use my Sennhheiser ew G4 until Sony release 🎤 with 32-bit etc. etc.
Suggest making something like what RODE Wireless Go Pro is doing. Then make the reciever compatible with the MI Shoe. The transmitter have recording timecode synced to the reciever on the camera/to the camera settings and records thru micro SD or something. It would be perfect
If this is the quality that is from the mic, I'd say it's pretty bad. Sounds like someone cranked up the treble. I don't hear the bass that I was hoping for. It loses out to a 10x cheaper mic pinned to your shirt.
Ok wait the Rode Wireless Go Pro has a backup recording system, has a input for lavalier Microphones which is so important for clients as they don’t like a bulky piece right on their chest specially female clients because of outfits. Also no screen on the receivers 😟 and the Rose has more battery juice. I love Sony but I thought they were coming about the Rode or Dji so maybe in in the next version Sony 😢 maybe on the next one and I almost forgot no 32bit float recording codec 😭
Is it true that you can adjust the input gain of the receiver, u can only choose 0-10-20 and thats it? also if yes, when connected digitally to a sony camera, can you still adjust the input gain volume in the camera, or that option is disabled? thanks
crystal clear audio appears to relate only to wireless transmission. There is no way to set the audio level in digital mode - so you will get a "hiss". You'd have to use a cable to set the mic rec level in camera.
