Jeven, you have made the convenience features of this mic very attractive and really useful for this Sony a7IV user. I don't have the ECM-B1M or newer ECM-M1 yet so that should probably be my next purchase based on your concern about the lack of a recorder in the mic of the ECM-S1. Thanks for the review info.

Solid review Jeven. I think Sony created a great mike with this one. At first was more interested in the wireless portable but without 32 bit and no separate recording on receiver … but this one. Much more interested.

Woah this looks to be extremely convenient for many use cases. Could there be a way to use this mic with a computer and monitor the audio while also hearing computer audio? I imagine some content creators might also want to use this mic similarly to a regular XLR mic setup but without the bulk of XLR cables and an audio interface.

This looks perfect for my needs. Is there any reason you would not hang it over head and replace that mic? That is how I would like to use it, with audio going straight to camera rather than Audition via long cables.

great review 👍 sound feels too crisp, like the highs are in overdrive,,,,,but omni directional mode sounded better - specifically when you were talking into the back of the mic

I think I still much prefer Shure MV7 with XLT/USB at home and Use DJI Mic for anything outdoor. They sounded very “wireless mic” to me but hey! I love your content so much!

We have a professional mic with no option to use it with an external recorder, no XLR, or Jack? Seems like a bit of a flaw. I don’t own a Sony but would have liked to try this mic.

Just got mine, opened the box and "really" no TRS/TRS cable in the box of a $400 mic... Yes they are $8 on Amazon but what would Sony pay for one to put in the box. Thanks for your video.

Very valid comment I'm thinking so it's not using so much of the cameras battery power when receiving audio, or is wireless different to Bluetooth but I could be wrong cause I'm dumb as 😂❤

@@profitglen i look at it like this , if my channel was large enough id be looking for 1) personally testing the product for my own use to see if its worth while investing and at the same time making the product review (which generates income and promotes the channel) and 2 having fun with fresh tech!!!! . i guess its a way of Sony maintaining a difference between them and The other brands. sort of like a we are so confident we dont give anything away. where as those who give away the tech run the risk of seeming to be unsure of their product. take Hohem at the moment they have given away soooo many mt2 units , it instantly made me sus in my hunt for a gimbal , i avoided them . (you wouldnt belive what i actually bought lol. a moza air2 (after much research it seemed the moza falls over due to poor power supply and quality of the cells) anyhoo at less than $200 it does what i want with weight to spare when if i upgrade. not that you asked me sorry . just bored at work lol
