i have the 6000cdt partnered with the mission 778x & wharfedale evo 4.1 & wharfedale sw150 sub superb sound, the amp for the price here in the uk £549 is a bargain considering the sound quality & how many inputs you get. looking forward to auditioning the mission 778s streamer when it's available.

The MF M3Si is a small powerhouse: 85 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms, with a wopping peak current of 25 Amps. The Audiolab got 9 Amps, most likely explaining less grip on the bass. This will matter when using less sensitive speakers and a larger room. Funny you mentioned the cheaper binding posts. It probably won't matter much, but it doesn't feel right. I really like Audiolab (owned a 6000a), but I feel it's not really a big step up to get the 7000a. As always, thank you for the review! 👌

Thank you. This is a really well thought out review. I am interested to know more about the MF M3Si comparison. Based purely on the amplifier using their internal phono stages, what would you say the key differences were - and which do you personally prefer? Thank you. Keep up the great reviews!!! 👍
@MadAudiofficial
@MadAudiofficial 7 месяцев назад
Thx for watching, not really a lover of integrated phono stages in this price range plus their characteristic is highly biased towards their amplifier final stage, after this disclosure the 7000a sounds more ground noise free and bigger in the presentation!

I had both the 7000A and 6000A at home to try at the same time. I really wanted to love the 7000A, especially the display but after a weekend of forward and back … I kept the 6000A. It just sounded ‘nicer’ and there was virtually no difference in perceived loudness but bass grip was better on the 6000A with my classic Mission 752 Freedoms. The headphone stage is so so on both but I use my Sundara and 58X Jubilee with a Chord Mojo 2. Thanks for the review.

Grazie per la review. Hai per caso provato il dac collegando un pc alla porta usb? Sarei curioso di sapere le differenze tra il dac del 7000 e quello più modesto del m3si

Thank you for the review. I want to buy my first amplifier and I haven’t got speakers yet. In my country, 7000a is €1470 and an open box Cambridge CXA81 is €1590 at the moment. Which one would you prefer?
@MadAudiofficial
@MadAudiofficial 7 месяцев назад
Thx, impossible to say, impossible to say without knowing yours taste and final speakers! As I said in the review Cambridge is more powerful but a little bit forwarded, both great amps!

Does anyone know the dampening factor of the Audiolab 7000a? I checked a bunch of places like Crutchfield and Audiolab’s manual/website, and could not find it. Thanks!!

What are the adjustment knobs made out of? Aluminum? Plastic? Do they feel cheap?

Hello! After spending some time with the Pro-Ject SB5S2, which amp would you recommend as their partner (besides the MF A1)?
@MadAudiofficial
@MadAudiofficial 7 месяцев назад
Rotel A11 tribute probably or Project MaiA S3, affordable and great musicality for the money, i am testing also right now the Fosi Audio ZA3, review coming soon!

I think you unscrew binding posts. Then push in banana plugs the rest of the way. Then tighten again. Let me know if this works for you?😊
@MadAudiofficial
@MadAudiofficial 5 месяцев назад
Unfortunately as nothing to do with the screw, binding posts are just too short, something pretty annoying!
@gratmatassa5432
@gratmatassa5432 17 дней назад
@@MadAudiofficial or the banana plugs are too long, no seriously if you're hung up about them visually i get that but sonically they work, my mission amp uses the same binding posts & yes my plugs don't go all the way in but i still get sound so i'm happy, it's a personal preference that's all.
