why have war plaques up on walls if members of the public cannot view them and remember our war heroes.

So they slap a massive tourist attraction at the front of their gates then kick off when people come and record… 🤨🥴 imagine if your loved one was on one of those memorial plaques as well, how insulting would that be to be told to go away and not being able to pay your respects… they’re a joke.

I can understand them not wanting filming on site, but just inside their property where they have plaques is pathetic, jobs worth!

He's doing a good job at getting the video removed like he said he would.

The older chap should have more respect for those who lost their lives to give us the rights that we have today.

If I was the CEO whoever those security were and if contracted the entire company would be gone tout de suite. What an abysmal way to behave.

They may as well melt those plaques down if people are not allowed to read them

If he's directing the public, he needs to be SIA trained and he needs his SIA card on display. Also, the area you were in was publicly accessible. I would have waited for the police and waited for them to educate him.

So if you were there to just get a reaction, the plaques must be like bait to catch unsuspecting video enthusiasts.

The owner or his agents can ask you to leave. If a bloke does not ID himself how do you know if he is the owner or an agent?

I have to say that it actually makes me physically ill seeing the absolute stupidity these people have interfering with you recording the plaques of fallen soldiers that gave their lives for our way of life (supposedly freedom). It’s literally like hiding from the public those heroes. Those plaques deserve more respect by all and to be seen by all. Greetings from Canada.

I did security back in the uk for years, had lots of police interaction and was a member of the national union of journalists. Yes its often a civil matter, unless its mod, maritime/aviation. Police often don't care who you are or why you are there other than to appease the person who made the call. If there ever is a call "numerous complaints" is usually one person Whilst it says "private property" on signage. Usually Courts will say that private property doesn't start until it is a fenced/gated, or barrier access as others have pointed out. If anyone claims to be security they should have an SIA license in the UK, it has to be worn and visible. They do have to show you their ID, but they don't have to show it to you on camera, and they don't have allow you to take photos/videos of it (so be respectful of that) as the sia license used to have their name printed on (Don't know if they still do or its just an sia number) and they have a right to privacy for their name not to be publicly broadcast. The same as if police were to stop you, they can ask for your name but you are under no obligation to give it unless its related to a criminal matter, security are not public servants. Don't care about getting someone in trouble. They have to show that license. If they don't, screen grab their face, with timestamp, location, and report them to the sia. The only way to stop these idiots thinking they are above the law is by actively doing something about it. Only posting it on YT social media, it doesn't really do much. If the SIA catch them without a license, or without one on display, it can be a fine, or revoking of their license...

I really love auditors, as people in the last 12months + have been audit the police, NHS, and other places that have been over looked for many many years, I mean, the NHS have done nothing but dance on tictoc, as hospitals all over the UK have been empty, and anyone that, are making nasty comments, here about auditors is it because you your selves have been caught doing something that you shouldn't at work, I mean auditors have filmed the police abusing their powers appsolutly amazing stuff keep up the good work all you auditors out there 👍👍

The thing that I find interesting is that they tell you they are doing MOD work ( hope no foreign spies see this) but if you want to see inside the place they have filmed in there many times including TV documentaries.

The whole of that short street is public , not private ! Hint ! ALL War Memorials are publicly accessible plus if you go onto Google Maps the Google van goes right down that road even past where you were standing !

the change of pavement is always a good indication of a boundary , when I was despatch rider I'd park really close to building that had a change of Pavement , that meant it was owned and not public , therefore no parking ticket :-)

Being next to public access the site premises should be clearly marked with signs. Otherwise, a fair assumption would be that the gate is the entrance. I hate to say it but you did need his permission to film him if you were on private property.
