Thanks Kenny! My warped brain is thinking there may be a creative use for this while using a control to write automation to a track. Will have to experiment with it....
At first I was thinking why not just use Undo? But the problem with Undo is that each fader complete stop will be part of the history. So you could easily Undo too many (or not enough) actions and screw things up. This technique is better.
Cool thing, this works with automation too. Use that to lift the volume of parts up with the dynamic of the song, then let go and it'll go right back to the original balance.
@@kennygioia7184 you really didn't know that? Noice. I was watching this video, though "Hey, that'd be cool to try with automation!" So I tried it, and it worked.
I, too, have been using Reaper for years and didn't know about this. Thanks for yet another great tip! BTW, what theme are you using here? I'm getting tired of my current theme and like the looks of this one.
I mean the grid lines should be exactly on any note or wave when I use Grooves Quantize so ok sws tools let me quantize whatever I want but the problem In the grid lines don’t much with the note or wave. really I need this option I found many grooves tools like 1/3 or triple etc. In cubase when you choose Groove quantize it’s making grid lines exactly on each note or wave and when I want to put midi not or any wave it’s put it exactly in grid quantize which I choose it
HI I would like to know how can I grid my grooves quantize ? I mean I did some arabic beat quantize for groove and I want make the grid exactly like quantize groove which I make it . really thank you if you help me . I can do that in cubase and studio one but in Reaper I couldn't . thanks

@@kennygioia7184 thank Kenny..keep up the good work 👏👏👏 i hope some time yoy can do a video on keeping ur files tidy..im relatively new to reaper and my desktop is covered in icons and back up files ect...thx again.
FaderPort V1? That's most likely using the Mackie protocol with Reaper. I don't use Mackie and could only test that with a Lemur Mackie template. Meanwhile can Reaper still learn the FaderPort via MIDI? I'd try MIDI learn and if that works, it's most likely a bug where Alt / Option doesn't work through Mackie.
