Came here just because I wanted to see how a vocal analysis could be done when you're listening to two absolute l e g e n d s and basically ensure there was the right amount of fangirling and expressions of awe. You did not disappoint. 😄

Stunning performance. I had the joy and pleasure of seeing them in Ragtime the year it opened on Broadway and it is my favorite musical of all time. All the performers were outstanding but Audra was mesmerizing every time she was on stage. Your eyes were just drawn to her. I have since seen her in other shows plus five times in concert. I have also seen Brian in concert. Two of the absolute best singers. Love them. ❤️

I somehow caught Ragtime on PBS or something when I was a kid and was IMMEDIATELY hooked. I got my hands on the cast recording and played it so much that I'm surprised that the CD will still play. Your Daddy's Son and Wheels of a Dream will make me cry to this day. Doesn't hurt that my name is Sara 😄

I don't know what I love best about this. I was too young to realize what I saw when I saw them in Ragtime, but now? I treasure it I saw a piece of Musical Theater history.

I watched it live, in my time zone, and it was gorgeous! Another bang on reaction from your spot on perspective. You had to dissect it in such detail at risk of being remiss. That “For Good” performance with Kristen Chenowith and Idina Menzel was riddled with subtext.

'I see his face I feel his heartbeat, I look in those eyes, How wise they seem, Well when he is old enough, I will show him America, And he will ride, On the wheels of a dream......' So the WHOLE song is there, is it......... Remind me; what is it you do on here again...? Confused.

Thanks for the input, I am referring to the performance I reacted to. It started where I started the video, therefore no cutting has been done. This is a performance made for a certain event which is why the full version from the musical isn’t here. Again, I have not cut the video, this particular performance started from this point.
