According to mythology, when St. Patrick was a missionary in Ireland in the 5th century, King Logaire of Tara decreed that no one was allowed to LIGHT ANY FIRES until a pagan festival was begun by the lighting of a fire on Slane Hill. In a move of defiance against this pagan ritual, St. Patrick did light a fire, and, rather than execute him, the king was so impressed by his devotion that he let Patrick continue his missionary work. Three centuries later, a monk named Dallan Forgaill wrote the Irish poem, “Rop tú mo Baile” ("Be Thou my Vision), to remember and honor the faith of St. Patrick. Forgaill was martyred by pirates, but his poetry lived on as a part of the Irish monastic tradition for centuries until, in the early 20th century, Mary Elizabeth Byrne translated the poem into English, and in 1912, Eleanor Hull versified the text into what is now a well-loved hymn and prayer that at every moment of our lives, God would be our vision above all else.

The way she not only endures the dust, but also reaches out to allow two of the clouds to hit her is beautiful symbolism. We endure, embrace, and rejoice in the tribulations we face, because they strengthen our faith and bring us closer to Christ, while the enemy fails to snuff out our flame of faith and devotion. Exactly what a spiritual journey is like. I Love how she stayed straight on the path ,eyes focused on God despite the darkness trying to get her.. and her faith grew stronger represented by the huge fire at the end. I guess what it is saying is, your faith will grow stronger by facing adversity if you stay the course.
Well said Donna. I would also add that at the end she " let go" sometimes we hold on to something that we should share because want to "own it" or we want our name on it. But when we let go and bring together our fire we have a bonfire not a single flame . A bonfire will reach out to much more people than a single flame.
I was thinking the large fire going out was her making shipwreck of her light of faith, and then walking away from the straight and narrow to a life of apostasy. Lol

The video made me think of life's journey for the bride in white, as she journeys she is stained with the various sins and trials of life, attacked by the enemy who wants her and to steal her light...she continues her walk until the very end and lights the funeral pyre herself...very moving.

Psalms 119:115 The single candle= the word of God and Jesus is the word John 1:1 A single candle is representation God is present. The white dress= your made white as snow Psalms 51:7 The torch= the Holy Spirit who lights our path and carries us through our trials. The sand represents the dirt, evil, and oposition the world bombards you with yet her dress remained pure white. It was not tarnished. The black caped people= the lust of the flesh (temptation) did not affect her and at no point did they touch her. The lust of the flesh lust of the eyes and the pride of life which are of the world. The bonfire= her death. Victory is won. The blaze is her going to heaven in a blaze of glory . She no longer needs to carry the torch because God is in heaven where she's going. She walks away from the bonfire on our way to heaven.

Today is the 499th Anniversary of the Reformation. Sister Audrey, when you see this, if you see this, be in prayer in light of that. You are not alone in your life mission regarding these things which weigh you down so heavily. Take heart-I speak to myself as well-for we have promises from God in His Word. For what is commanded of Christians is actually also a promise. God will do it through His people. He is the Author of History. He knows what He's doing. And we are His instruments, but not His sole instruments. He is working in ways in which we cannot yet see. The Glory of the Christ will be revealed through His Bride, and many will leave death behind and come into life. The Day is coming, and the Wedding Bells are ringing. The Bridegroom comes, and the Bride shall rise. The many-holed bowl shall be removed from the lamp, the City on the hill shall no longer be hidden, and a Global Revival of the Church shall overtake the earth. The Holy Spirit is coming surging and sweeping like the waves of the sea. The Lord shall continue to send the latter rains upon us until the land overflows, until the desert rejoices and blossoms as a rose. A Glory greater than either the Counter-Reformation or the Reformation is coming. And a great soul harvest shall accompany it. All Glory be to Christ in God. God's Ark be revealed to go with us! All of Heaven and Earth rejoice and sing! Might prophecies, promises, be fulfilled and the order of the world be shaken! Rise, Body of Christ! Come Lord, Jesus!

I have experienced this in my life ~ facing the forces of darkness, yet coming through in the strength and power of God, carrying His light because of His grace and being protected by His presence and Spirit.
