I encourage all of you to pray for Audrey. On her social media she recently shared that after a long spiritual struggle, she is no longer Catholic or Christian. Please pray that Jesus can bring her back to His heart again.
I have been thinking of her and praying for her return. I am convinced that the Healer's hand will touch and bring her back, Amen! We love you Audrey you have helped so many people get closer to the Lord with your God given voice. Thank YOU LORD for the gift of Audrey 🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️
I believe He is still walking with her, and she is still seeking Him, outside the walls of Christianity for a time or for always, it's her own walk. But God doesn't drop us, ever. I have no doubt she will be fine. Her whole life is intercession, imho. Who's to say where He is leading her? She belongs to Him, not to Christianity. ♥
I recently found myself pulled over on the side of the road, calling out to God through tears and misery, begging him to take my life and to leave me with whatever I need to be refined. I, for the first time, laid it bare, giving it all over to God, and in that moment I gave up my hold on everything and told him I will stand up under whatever is necessary to become His vessel. This song speaks to my heart because it speaks of all the worldly things that always kept me back. In giving Him my fear of losing everything I found myself trusting that he WILL provide what I NEED.
So sad to know that Audrey is no longer a believer. I do hope she will find a good way back in the near future. May God always lead her life at the moment ....
Lord Jesus, please lead Audrey back to The Cross. Where she is weak you are strong. Please renew her spirit. Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.

Yes she is definatley a cross over artist I’m a Mormon CHRISTIAN, this song makes my heart sob with joy at the oneness of all of his children! So many ndes speak of the connectedness we all have! This is such an exquisite song. We , every child on this earth, good or bad, made the decision to come to this earth and ful fill the promise we made to him and to one another. I know you all love Christ the very self same Saviour that I too know with all of my heart. Please don’t be haters, all I want to do is serve my fellow man, no matter where that might be.

Really really beautiful, the setting is where the great Christian show The Chosen's second season is being filmed currently. I really recommend it, you can get the app from both main phone stores and either watch it on the phone or cast to a smart device and it's all free! You might recognise the set, as it's owned by the Church of Latter Day Saints ;) They very kindly rented it out, not sure we would be so generous tbh... I think the Lord would have us focus on what we do agree on, which is probably quite a bit and certainly a lot more than we do with non-christians, we're natural allies in many areas, pro-life being one of them!
Audrey has a really special type of voice. I've never heard a falsetto quite like hers before. Talk about God-given talent!! This song is amazing! I love the collaboration with Matt! By watching them worship together, I can tell they have kindred spirits & that's so important to have when you are worshipping & singing with another person because God's spirit needs vessels like these to flow through! Only men sing in falsetto, because it requires an Adam's apple. When women sing high and light, it's called using your "head voice" as opposed to your "chest voice." I agree with you though, she has a lovely and special voice! :)
Elizabeth Kendall men and women both have a falsetto and a head voice. An Adam's apple is merely the protrusion of the male larynx due to the development of their vocal cords.
I love that she is a cross over artist that her music touches my brothers and sisters in Christ Catholic and Protestant alike. It's a beautiful thing to see Unity like this because the division breaks my heart so much. I love Audrey's music so much it puts me at peace, because I can feel the peace of God emanating from her music. Such a blessing!

Aaron F There was not a hint that Peter being the rock would be a blood dynasty of who would rule the church. The popes have gone more and more unbiblical in their doctrine, and they cannot override the Bible and the teachings of Jesus, which they have. Like with justification, baptism, leadership, etc.

Angie Littlefair honestly I don't think that was a hateful message. If you see someone with a very dangerous belief, possibly so far from the gospel that it can't save (proven by Galatians 5), it would not be loving to just ignore that. I think that what I'm doing (and what Paul, Peter, and especially Jesus did) was exposed very destructive heresies that destroy the church
Most folks don't realize, but at 8:40 it seems that Audrey may have lost her monitor system entirely. You can tell because the vamp she does at that moment is completely off key, and she looks up at Matt to see if he noticed. They spend the next 15 seconds or so trying to figure it out together, the timing between the kick drum and the piano is off, but she keeps going and eventually gets back in timing and in key with the song. That's very impressive. When you lose your ability to hear yourself on stage with a full band, and have to rely on the accuracy of your inner ear in that kind of environment, not easy.
Andrew Locke I've watched this video a million times but I never noticed! I agree that's it's really impressive & it speaks to the talent and connection between the band members that they were able to keep going until they fixed the problem without it being a big scene!
The Lord put this song, I Shall Not Want in my heart and I was singing it before I awoke...I became alert to it, then went back to sleep and as I became alert again to awaken fully I realized my heart was singing it again. I love seeing my two favorite Catholic artists leading worship together. I love seeing how authentic this is and spirit filled, you can tell when Matt is trying to sing, but can't cause he keeps sobbing. That's amazing, Jesus moved through that place like crazy!

I was at the conference and saw her live. Now, just over a month later, I find out that a friend of mine passed away two days ago. Listening to this gives peace to my mourning and sorrowful heart.
I lost my sister to a car accident earlier this year and I have found so much solace in her music. Truly a gift of God. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I understand so well what you're going through.

Found Audrey by accident and listened to her sharing her story and her love and trust in the Lord is just so moving and I wish I could be as devoted as she is but due to circumstances its not possible Dont get me wrong I attend church every Sunday but its the days in between that's the problem Her witness to God and her love she has for the gospel

I listened to this, over and over, and over again during the time that we took my mother off of life support following a stroke. I have no clue how many times I replayed it, but it brought me comfort during one of the most excruciatingly painful times of my life.
I love the story of the woman in the crowd, he was and is so full of love , knowing each one of us much better than our own earthly parents do. One thing I am sure of, if we all were the only single person he gave his life for, he would have given that perfect life for that one!

Just got back from Big church day out (south). Managed to catch Audrey Assad performing twice over the weekend. If you get the chance at BCDO North to see her, then grab it with both hands. You will not be disappointed. For me, her performance was the highlight of the weekend. Truly amazing......

I believe that one day like this bore much fruit for all present and will continue to because the grains that are the musicians and technical staff and producers of this performance died to themselves. Grace and mercy are for all God's children and we experience them again and again when we allow this heavenly music to touch our hearts. Any time we celebrate Christ it is good and we surely celebrate Jesus when we open our hearts in this way. I don't understand the "thumbs down" some people feel inclined to. I hope they revisit and come to understand a "thumbs up" acceptance some day. I don't know that we need debate of semantics or the choosing of sides as much as we need to refocus on our encounter with God as we give thanks for the miracle of human life which we are all blessed with. It's easy to be swept away by this beautiful worship. Why define God by terms of good and evil? They are human qualities, our creator must be beyond all of this but still all derives from God. suffering exists to draw us closer to God. Death to make us thankful of life. Sickness to make us appreciate our health. The diversity of biology makes us astonished. Music taps in to our souls.And in silence or in prayer we are humbled and open to the guiding voice of God.
I love Matt and have seen him 4 times and he just gets better every time. Audrey's voice is beautiful. I just don't care for songs that go on and on and on like one never ending jam session.
Our journey through this thing called life is not neat and linear. And who do we think we are to even begin to guess where she’s at on her journey. Words like Christian come with preconceived notions and clearly by this thread suppositions and dare I say judgements are oft quickly made. Last time I checked my Bible, it was Jesus alone who will judge each one of us- Aundrey, me and, gasp- you! Christians are to be known by their love and compassion. Her music draws me back when, in my honesty, I stray. It may not look like it on the outside, but I spend oodles of time doing seemingly innocuous things- that take me from being on fire for my Jesus to nasty lukewarm indifference. Consider loosening your grip on the stone in your hand and in your prayer closet, alone with our God, intercede for Audrey. Maybe even fast if you’re this convicted that’s she’s fallen off the rails.
