I've met her. She preformed at a christian young adult conference. She spent the entire weekend with us. She's the most humble person I've ever met. Her calling is to use her music to bring more of God's children home and she does it well. All Glory to God
This may be one of the saddest songs I've ever heard....until you realize that the lyrics are written from the perspective of God singing to us. Until you've been to the lowest depths, cornered with nowhere to turn, you won't be able to truly appreciate the gravity of this song. "Love won't pass you by. You just have to reach out ahead."
I’ve been listening to this song for years. Still one my my favorite songs of all time. So beautiful, and Audrey Assad’s voice is so lovely and special.
This song is so personal! I thank the Lord for using you to sing my experience to me. When I stopped and read these lyrics, I just teared up. God had my daughter introduce me to your music. It truly ministers to soul❣️💯🎶❤️🙏
Demons cause the anxiety and depression, cast them out in Jesus name, live holy and they can’t come back. Sin gives them the right to come in. Believe the Word. Live it. Get filled with the Acts 2 baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said his Father will give it those who ask, and then obey the Word. Our protection is the blood and living holy.
@@GodsOath_com if you tell someone suffering depression that they have to be holy to stop being depressed they will become more depressed when they fail(as of coarse we all do eventually). Running to Jesus & asking Him for grace & power & healing to overcome our trouble is the way to peace & victory. It's also a great idea to seek good biblical professional Christian counseling. i pray this comment will help someone. God bless!!!

Thank you for singing encouragement. Joycee passed from this life 5 months. The song says, I will not trust in the sweetest frame. You give me encouragement by showing me my selfish behavior by which I drive nails into his hands and mock Him. His selflessness accepts my selfishness. I have lost 2 wives within 21 years and know that Love is all around me as you have sung to help me get our of bed for my family of 29 adults and 17 grandchildren bequeathed to my by my wives. Bless you and praise the living GOD who has not left me an orphan and gives me a comforter who councils me how to keep in the way of life You sing encouragement into my heart/mind.

I start crying as soon as I hear the intro to this song. I nearly died some years ago trying to recover from addiction. Seen more than a few not make it. You've touched the answer Audrey in the 2nd chorus. Love is on His way.

amazing song, as is the whole CD. o my soul is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. I can't get over it. and the words are so good. I just watched the last two lines of this song over and over till i could play it on piano just right. I want to learn to play lament too, it is just beautiful. The lyrics are brilliant too. Audrey has a beautiful and amazing gift to write soul touching music that draws people's hearts out and towards god.

Just lost my Dad , he was 95 and such a character and so full of love and I thought he’d never die! I also have been so sad for my son who is homeless by choice and not doing well!! I cling to the scriptures and have seen a counselor, Haskell many sleepless nights, but thank you for putting into words how I feel!!!!
Hi Laura, Your story is very interesting to me as I have been homeless too (by choice) But only because it was Gods will, and not any other reason. Is your son a strong believer? Does your son say he was told to be homeless?

Wow...she absolutely slayed this song! Voice, beautiful; melody, amazing; music, unbelievable! The mood shift musically from "your heartbreak is breaking you" to about 3:05 when she shifts to the hope-filled "lift up your head..."?! Goosebumped worship. Definitely will be in heavy rotation on my play list.

I like the way she ends it. The ear is expecting a few more notes at the end, but she doesn't give it. Miles Davis used to do that. It's highly effective. This woman knows music.
