She was my favorite. A mesmerizing presence on the screen. Very, very special. One of a kind for sure. I just love watching her for her presence as much as her acting skills.
She was such a Beautiful woman, and the circumstances of her life made her into the polite...poised and charitable person that she was. Her and a few other starlets like Sophia Loren who suffered during the war, learned to appreciate what they had and remained down to earth people.
i love the way that from around 4:22 Audrey describes how she enjoys completing a movie and getting back to 'house and home'. other actresses may have been thinking about parties, affairs and keeping their names in the gossip columns. Audrey thought about her husband and child. 💕
What a delightful lady she was! She had such enthusiasm and, as you said, bubbliness, in this interview, but you could hear the happiness go up a notch when the interviewer asked about her family. You can tell from her voice that was by far the most interesting and important thing to her. :)
Like the Beatles she has the ability to deal with the news media people sometimes probing questions which made them a favourite among the news media people
Audrey, she has everything but a voice. Yet, in the movie My Fair Lady, they should have put more songs with her original voice. Many numbers would have been all right.
+Tre Babcock All over the internet. Most of the time I'm searching for something else and then POP! a new video or interview to share with my fellow Audrey fans.
It was suppose to be her voice. She trained tirelessly with a singing coach but Jack Warner, without Audrey's knowledge, hired Marni Nixon and replaced all of Audrey's vocals. Some of her original vocals are on youtube and the DVD.
Rare Audrey Hepburn yes they treated her, Julie and Marni all terribly, such a shame. I just don’t understand how she ever thought she would be able to hit soprano notes
Who cares if she could not sing.!!!! Would you rather have a pitch perfect voice from a anonymous actress, or would you rather have a beautiful, but imperfect voice, coming from 1 of the worlds most beautiful actress to grace the screen. ?????
“”The other girl”,as she puts it,has a name;Marni Nixon without whom Audrey would have failed miserably as Eliza.I love Audrey but even she had to finally admit that Julie should have been cast.
@@davidallen508 if Audrey hadn't accepted the role, it would have gone to Elizabeth Taylor. And we would not have Julie Andrews as the iconic Mary Poppins. So it all worked out for the best I think!!
@@daryl1054 Elizabeth Taylor tried to pull strings to land the role but Jack Warner had the final say. Walt Disney assured Julie Andrews that he would postpone the making of “Mary Poppins” were she to be cast as Eliza and “The Sound of Music” came later so she could have made all three.
