Audrey Hepburn Resurrected in New TV Commercial - Creepy or Cool? 

if there’s one thing I know is Audrey Hepburn wouldn’t have been the face of a C-list chocolate company... I don’t think celebrities who have died should be the face of anything they didn’t agree to prior to death. disrespectful and capitalistic.

It isn't "creepy" , or "cool". But somehow it makes me really sad, that she's not here anymore.

In her memoirs she stated that she didn't have food during the Holocaust as a girl and she remembered when she savored one bite of a piece of chocolate. She mentioned that that was all she had some days. She even did the same thing as an adult, that the struggle she went through as a girl stayed with her. Maybe she wouldn't roll her in grave at this, or maybe she would. We will never know.

She was so beautiful that my mother told me she was like a living doll that had an unreal face that women dream of..

She looks a little like a barbie doll. But I really like the playful nature they gave her.

2015: A year of CGI. 2025: Deepfake is being used in movies. Actors are not in absolute necessity anymore.

It’s still hard to believe she died more that 20 years ago. She would have been 91 if she was alive.

At first I thought this was cool but now it just seems a little creepy exploiting a dead celebrities likeness to sell chocolate

She’s passed they shouldn’t exploit her for a crappy chocolate ad

Even digitally enhanced, Audrey Hepburn is the definition of beauty for all the world to see.

I can tell that it's animated, it looks it a little bit. But this makes me wonder if some day they won't have to hire new actors at all, they can just 'revive' dead actors by doing this, or create whatever face they want via the same way.

I can't believe she passed away so early, but i know she's happy now in heaven seeing her legacy being treasured by so many. She's just more than enough to be cherished that us still value her even we knew she's no longer here to be seen and to be with.

I think this is one of the most enjoyable commercials I've seen in years. It made me pull out my collection of Audrey Hepburn DVDs and enjoy them again -- and it inspired me to purchase some chocolate. Whoever came up with that marketing idea was a true genius. It did make me wish that "Roman Holiday" had been made in color.

They captured her essence beautifully. 0:16 - 0:28 - 0:35 - 0:38 - 0:44 it's in the little things.

It's tastefully done. Something like this helps to keep her memory alive. I'm sure younger generations googled her after watching and maybe developing an interest in seeing her films. Believe me, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone under the age of 25 who even knows who she is.

Creepy. I own my face and likeness. She owned hers. The dead should be remembered with dignity - not recycled into the money machine of advertisments.

I don’t understand how this could be creepy. This both made me sad, and awe at the beauty that is Audrey Hepburn.

The part I find creepy is getting into a car with a stranger.

This made me want to cry just being able to see her so clearly and hear her kind and sweet voice sing in the background

Audrey used to say, "Chocolate chases the blues away". She would eat a piece of dark chocolate in the afternoon.

Imagine doing that today: stealing a bus driver's hat and then getting in some stranger's car, lol.

Using anyone’s likeness to sell things that are unrelated to their estate after they are dead is disrespectful.

Audrey Hepburn aside, technology has come really far. This is amazing.

I don’t know what’s creepier, her reconstructed likeness or the fact that she gets into a total stranger’s car.

So nicely made. The mixture of pictures gives the impression that she is real. Amazing movements.. so Audrey!

Technology aside, there will never be another like the real Audrey.

I have mixed feelings about this - But it will at least bring this magnificent woman to the younger generation.

Audrey is so strikingly beautiful here (She’s one of a kind), and to think that she was insecure of her looks. Glad she’s humble and kind.

I saw this advert years ago when i was a child and remembered falling in love with this woman in the advert. My aunty told me it was Audrey Hepburn and since then Ive become a massive fan of her gorgeous self inside and out

Wow. I couldn't tell it was CGI at first, but when I looked closely, then it was a bit more obvious, cause she has a slight artificial look to her appearance and stiff movements. Pretty, nonetheless.

Love it how she places the hat on his head and hops in the backseat like he is the new bus driver. That's so Audrey. I could totally see her having done that 🥰

Gotta be the only one here who absolutely in love with the sheer detail and concept of this commercial. Even though its only a commercial, if I could live on like this even after death, I'd be honered.

Well this is not creepy but i don't like how they mader her CGI look, way "too perfect to be Audrey". Everyone knows that the little flaws in her face is what made her unique and beautiful :)

I saw this commercial once and thought, oh my gosh this woman is so beautiful who is she 😢 it didn't click that it was Audrey Hepburn. It's weird that I've only seen it once, it never appeared after that again

Just looking at Audrey's face always melted me. Ultimate kindness and beauty. When I first saw the chocolate commercial, I actually teared up. Unlike the naysayers in the posts here, I think this young actress shows there is still beauty in an ugly world.

This commercial always makes me cry. Audrey Hepburn was severely malnourished from the age of nine until she was sixteen. It happened during World War 2. She didn't have enough food to eat, and her body began to fail as a result. Her meals were frequently made up of endive, a low-calorie green leafy vegetable commonly used in salads, tulip bulbs dug up from the ground, and water. That's how Audrey survived. She would spend entire days in bed with a book, hoping to clear her mind of obsessive food thoughts. She also suffered from a variety of ailments caused by malnutrition, including asthma, jaundice, acute anemia, and even a severe form of edema. After the war, Audrey Hepburn became a voracious eater, and one of her favorite foods was chocolate, which she associated with freedom. On one of the last days of the war, a Dutch soldier gave her seven chocolate bars. Audrey Hepburn ate them all in one sitting, along with some condensed milk provided by a United Nations relief organization. An organization which she later on supported. To tell you, her love for chocolate stayed with her throughout the rest of her life. Audrey Hepburn kept candy bars in a chest of drawers in her living room. She also made chocolate cakes with whipped cream on a regular basis. Another obsession of the slim Hollywood starlet was British cigarettes. The chocolate Dove, sold as Galaxy in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East, India and Australa; Ihave always loved this chocolate when I was still a child. I love how it's not so sweet. It tastes so creamy and silky. The comfort of this chocolate brings to someone. A perfect chocolate commercial of Audrey, knowing how meaningful chocolate was for her. Dove/Chocolate is absolutely my favorite chocolate. Now, whenever I eat it, it always reminds me of Audrey Hepburn and her life. It's more than my personal favorite chocolate now. Thank you for this wonderful and emotional ad.❤

I think it's wonderful a perfect example of what's past and what can be done today. I could watch it for ever.

One of the VERY few celebrities I’d bring back to life if given the choice. So ethereal and genuinely a good soul. Plus (I think it’s rome or Italy) looked sooo much better back in the 50s-60s.

This is when you know it’s true beauty you are witnessing: it doesn’t provoke envy, only inspires a better version of yourself.

This would be a movie Audrey, real Audrey would go down the bus & helped the poor fruit vendor. Then she’d convinced everyone in the bus to disembark & help push it 😊

She was sooooooooo pretty and talented!

Wow. When I first saw this when it came out however many years ago, I actually remember thinking this cgi looked so realistic. And now however many years later I can see the flaws where it gives away that it isnt a real person. I really thought it looked like a real person back then and technology has changed so much that my brain now expect better.. I guess? Bizarre.

I can see how some might find this creepy but I think it's pretty amazing technologically speaking. Also, chocolate was one of her most favorite foods for a few significant reasons so it would make sense for her to be in a chocolate commercial. Hearing moon river made me tear up a little♥️

The creepiest part is that now we know some living human "owns her likeness".

This is sitting in the uncanny valley, there's something unsettling about that commercial.
