I love to see all the different single screen platformers that were on the Speccy back in the day! I think I've heard of Monty the Mole before.. maybe not! 😅
@retroprojections Hi Jon, mate you'll be there forever getting all those platformers, there are 100s bud lol, that would be a nightmare scenario 😳 😆 🤣 And Monty Mole was quite popular for the 8bit micros, and sure, there are a couple of Monty Mole homebrews too I must try 😃 Cheers for watching, and enjoy ya week bud✌️ 😊
@GamerOdysseyPC Thanks mate, this is the best of the original Monty games I would say, they all hqve a certain charm about them too, and typically English lol Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by pal ✌️ 😊
Afternoon David, as I said, I'm not a big fan, but I didn't mind them, this one in particular I remember a lot in the 80s as one of my mates loved it. Decent gamplay, but not easy as you said. Gorgeous and colourful graphics here too, and good 128k music too mate. Nice to play it again. Cheers for watching bud 👍 😊
@@bundjohn Hey John, Unfortunately not AWP, shame like, just the fact Montys heading round Europe mate lol. It's not bad, especially drunken Monty, the controls change direction🤣 Cheers for watching Jon lad ✌️ 😊
@gullpayne Hey mate, a decent little platformer I'd say with some great gameplay and graphics 👍 Nice to go back to it again after all these years, worth a blast pal ✌️ 😊
@xxFORDIExx Hi there, I bet the Amstrads version is virtually the same as the speccy version 😆 , this is lovely looking game, the gameplay and music are good too buddy 👍 Thanks for the visit. I appreciate it ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews oh they are virtually identical lol. We used to get many ports from the speccy as you likely know. Those games tended to run a little better on speccy. But like with all systems, when programmed from the ground up, they all had unique looking/playing games. I've always been system agnostic. But wow there were some proper playground spats by many kids about their systems back in the day 🤣
@@Gold2thGaming Lol Gerthy, they probably got the title off the show, there is a Aufweideshaen Pet game and it's ducking shite mate, weh aye man! 🤣 This is areet though, and has some nice graphics and gameplay, that python was really going for it the dorty barsteward! 🤣 🐍 Stay sexy dude ✌️ 😊
Ah hate when they use different keys to QAOP, should've been Speccy law that. Good old Monty, loved that series back in the day even if I do struggle with them now😬 Speaking of which I have a homebrew Monty I picked up ages ago that I've never shown off. "He looks like he's having a good time whatever he's doing"😂😂😂
@@Tetlee Hi Lee. Weh aye man!! Lol Drunken Monty is difficult to control mate 🥴 🤣 Good game bud, and sure I have 2 homebrew Monty games as well on tap files somewhere, not bad either 😃 Cheers for watching pal, Montys probably hammered now 🍻 🍺 lol
@80sretrogamer Yeah, it is very colourful, which is always nice to see on the speccy instead of bloody monochrome 😆 🤣 It's canny too, I think the Amstrads and 64 versions are very similar too 👍 Thanks for watching dude ✌️ 😃
I like the colours and graphics on this one Paul and looks a big game with all the directions you can go on it and as you say it's pretty impressive for a 80s game. love that sign at the end mate I'm surprised Dianne has not bought one for me 🤣👍
@gallowaygaming75 Thanks Glen, lovely looking graphics ans decent game 👌 And get one of those signs made, sure Dianne would be well happy there 😂 😆 Thanks for watching pal ✌️ 😊
I remember the name, but never played it on my toastrack. IIRC it took a while for 128K games to appear. I probably bought less than a dozen before flipping it for my 520 STFM late '87. 😁👍
@giulianomarco It's a good game mate, definitely worth a go, nice graphics and decent gameplay too, thanks again for watching buddy, and have a great week ✌️ 😊
@FaxiiChannel Hi Faxii 👋 Hope ya doing ok bud. Pretty popular game on the humble speccy and other 8-bits 😊 I enjoyed going back to it again mate, my friend was obsessed with it back in the 80s 😆 🤣 And yeah, fantastic 128k music too🙌 😃 🕹 Cheers for watching pal, oh, and its nearly the weekend 👍 😊 🍻
I never had any Monty game back in the day Paul and still haven't played one to this day Funnily enough I have been looking at this recently, does look good, would definitely like to get hold of it All the best mate, hope the air cleared in the shed🤣👍
@retroimportgamer513 I was never a big fan but thought they were ok games still, think this was the one I played the most. Probably cos it looked the best 👌 🤣 Worth a blast James definitely. Yeah the stink eventually went, but took a while mate 😆 Thanks again pal ✌️ 😊
This was on amstrad too? I've been thinking of getting an amstrad again. I had the cpc464 green screen. I loved it. Not sure whatever happened to it though.
@TheRetroManRandySavage Hi Randy lad, aye not bad gameplay with nice looking and colourful graphics mate, don't forget that funky tune too 😃 Sure you'd enjoy it pal 👍
@TheRetroManRandySavage You should definitely get a Amstrad if you can, not cheap now though for the original these days 😞 I've got a cunning plan!! Why don't you get The Spectrum coming out in November instead, 48 ganes and you can also stick ya own games on too 🤔 😀 Think I'm going to get one for Xmas too. Cheers for watching bud 👍
@@stewsretroreviews is that a mini spectrum?like they did with the commodore 64? Man, I'll definitely be getting one. Yeah, I noticed the prices on the amstrad were steep. Gutted I lost mine. I bet my mother took it to the dump.
It's funny because I was only playing this the other day, Couldn't get anywhere 😂😂😂 I just subscribed to Antstream Arcade Edit has a load of Speccy And C64 games on it, Which is nice, Well played Paul you definitely did a lot better than it did 😂
@marcgoesblindgaming2076 Hey dude, not easy, and those jumps have to be bloody perfect, doesn't help when ya hammered like Monty either 🍻 🥴 😂 I will check that channel out bud, cheers Marc lad ✌️ 😊
@@stewsretroreviews They have a RU-vid channel but it was actually a Retro gaming streaming service That has over 1300 games you can play, I think I paid like 40 quid for a year
