Customer wanted to add some side cutters onto this 60" auger to cut just a bit larger. The customer suggested that I fabricate some bolt on side cutters to make the overall diameter of this auger about six inches larger. The fabrication wasn't an issue at all but the installation was more of a challenge. I don't own a short mag drill and I'm not sure if one would have worked, being as the auger flighting material is not flat enough for the magnet to attach properly. So, I opted to try using my exothermic slice torch for piercing the holes instead of drilling.
