Thank you for THIS VIDEO!!!! I definitely will be purchasing this workbook for the following reasons: 1. It’s Undated, 2. It has a section for cash envelopes, 3. Hi question are both the workbook and box set for you? How are you using them both when they are essentially the same? I ask because I don't need a new workbook but I WANT IT!!! I just don't know how to use it when I already have a financial planner & method😏

@@carleenshaw8167 Yes, they are both for me. I ordered both because I want to see which one works better for me, so that next year I will know exactly which one to order. Also, since they are not dated, I can use either one at any given time. Plus I have a daughter who told me she would take which ever one I don't use, Plus I just want to support Miko as much as I can and I truly admire her.😀😀💖💖

I was sooooooooooooo waiting for this budget recap. I think for me the printable version would work best but I do wish I could get the actual full size book. It's so pretty and the paper looks really high quality which makes writing on it so much nicer.

Can't wait till the new PDF comes out. Using a self built spreadsheet version of the workbook and love it. I will continue using it when I get the printable because I love the customization I ended up doing (built a section for reimbursement money and pretax withdraws) but am missing the physical act of writing it all down, I will use the spreadsheet for drafting and expense tracking (zero money goes "missing" lol)

You inspire me so much! I wanna do this my self, but we cant do envelope system in my country because the bank doesnt accept money back after you pull out your paycheck (to prevent illigal money from drugs and etc.). Do you know how I can do this without pulling out money?

Question, If its a zero based budget how do you have a starting amount in checking account? Ive been doing this a few weeks I'm giving myself 150 as a cushion in the account but other than that and bills it would be zero

In your planned expense section - you set aside $150 as your checking account cushion. It gets subtracted from your total, so as an example: For "Inflow" of money: Income: $1000 Starting balance in checking account (cushion): $150 Total starting = $1150 For Planned Expenses: Rent: $500 Planned Food $500 Checking account cushion: $150 Total Planned Expenses: $1150. - your starting amount minus expenses is zero. Then your actual Expenses: Rent: $500 Actual Food: $550 - you spent $50 more than planned Checking account cushion: $100. - the $50 for food came out of the checking account cushion, so now its only $100 left Total Actual Expenses: $1150. - the starting amount of $1150 minus the actual expenses amount of $1150 is still zero. Even though you called it an "expense" - at the end of the month you have $100 actually left in the checking account. So now your starting balance for the next month is $100. You will want to still designate $150 for the next month though as a checking account cushion (i.e you take $50 of your next paycheck and add it to the checking account cushion to boost it up to $150 total). Hope that helps!!

Is the BBP workbook going to be in PDF? I like PDF forms! Also, I use the YNAB budgeting tool to budget our money, but I still use the budget mom's method to plan my budget and follow up on our expenses!

@@thebudgetmom I just thought about this... Have you ever thought of making the *Budget by Paycheck workbook* and the *Live Rich Planner* into an app? I don't know if anyone mentioned it to you or suggested it to you, but have you considered it? I'd like to volunteer to do a test run!! I know you do things manually, but I find it stressful doing it that way. So, I tried finding apps that will give me the same feeling I need that I found in your method. That's when I found YNAB. They do the same thing you do, which is "giving every dollar a job" as they put it! I use that app by following YOUR method! All the calculations are done for me (I know I'm lazy), and I know exactly how much we are spending and saving... but mostly spending! I'm sorry I'm rambling too much, but I just wanted to tell you that an app like that is MY kind of visual!! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! 🤗

@@deeb1636 the formula is (value/total value)×100%- For example, her total monthly income is $7282 and she spent $298 on gas/car so (298/7282)*100%=4.09% ----let's do another one she spent $938 it will be (938/7282)*100%=12.88% and she round it up to 13%. Hope that help

Kumiko help!, question. when you use sinking fund money like say for birthday, you add it into income but doesn't that mess up how much your actual income is for the year since you already counted that money as income then counting it again? why not just not count it...I'm confused so I haven't been adding it as income and just not tracking it after it goes to the sinking fund

She has moved toward calling any moneys coming in each month as inflow. In the new workbook it will be categorized as "savings used" and added to earned income and other income to determine monthly "inflow". Look at the video at 20 minutes into the video.
