it still hasnt for me. i mean i know hes gone but i cant help but not believe it. then i see videos and pictures of him and im like he cant be gone. it really hasnt sunk in. but then at random times it hits me and im like he really is gone. i dont believe it though. looking at videos like this. knowing hes gone but not wanting to admit it. seeing him so happy and alive, it just makes me break down every time. i wish i could have met him. R.I.P Mitch. you amazing hero.
Their label A&R (Legendary Steve Joh) was curious if I could remix a suicide silence song - and Mitch lived like 3-5 minutes from me. So he arranged for us to meet to vibe check before I did the remix- we met and we got along well. Then I did the remix - Disengage (Big Chocolate Remix) and a few weeks later Mitch gave me a call saying we should make original music that was like that remix. He was truly a visionary. Our families got along really well because we were both very family orientated. He'd come over to my place (I was living my with my aunt and uncle at the time) and I'd go over to his place, his wife's parents place, and Mitches families places in the IE. We just generally got a long really well ~ I think our age difference played a good part. He was a good leader for me in a lot of ways. Had more years than I. Hands down the coolest person ever. Long live Mitch Lucker. No one cooler.
