I never thought that I would have ever Salsa danced at a metal show until I saw these guys live. One of the best, if not best, live bands that I've ever seen.
I used to listen to ABR back in 2011-2012 but I lost all my music and since I was moving from my "heavy" phase to my "hardcore" phase I forgot about them. Now I come back and I realize how much I need they're amazing music in my life!
it been 10yrs since i first got this album. still sweet melody to my ears. Hail! August Burns Red and thank you for walking with me through out my life. You guys rock! LONG LIVE.
As an old ABR fan, I didn't like this song at first, thinking it deviated from the brutal breakdowns and riffs the band is famously known for. But after listening to it AGAIN after a few years, I realized I was a fool to not LOVE this. I love being wrong :D
most underrated band ever. They have never had a song that I couldnt listen to on repeat. Also some of the nicest guys on earth. Saw Matt in the mall in Lancaster and he stopped to talk to me for a bit. They deserve a lot more than they have.
I've feared the deepest darkest secrets That live inside of me Defeat and tragedy walking in shame Finding nowhere to hide I've thrown my bottles of guilt into the sea Hoping the waves carry them away from me, oh My heart is beating, I'll never stop fighting, I'll keep breathing My heart is beating, I'll never stop fighting, I'll keep breathing to stay alive And here I go, off to make a change I'm screaming, screaming revival All of my strength, all of my might Will go into this to take back my life All of my strength, all of my might Will go back into this to take back my life My life, my life, my life I'm taking back my life My life, my life, my life Taking back my life Let's go! This song is music to my ears (This song is music) And is a new production on an old stage (On an old stage) I won't dwell in unhappiness (I will not dwell in) Grasping humility Asking forgiveness Tomorrow is gone, I'll start living for today I'll never stop the fighting and I'll take it all away Tomorrow is gone, I'll start living for today I'll never stop the fighting and I'll take it away
WHAT THE F.... I discovered this band for the accoustic version of this song and thought "this is marvelous relax music", then heard this version O___O
such a shame.... 3 years later and still only half a million views. People need to get there head out of their ass cause they can't hear this beautiful music from in there.
Maybe it's because most people into heavier music listen to real death metal and heavier shit in general? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of ABR, but they're considered metalcore, which is absolutely a dying sub genre of metal
David Marsh Metalcore dying? I don't see it. Death Metal isn't very popular at all and most people I know that listen to Metal don't delve into that type of stuff.
David Marsh I strongly disagree! Metalcore is definitely not dying. It's the genre I listen to the most and there are a lot of bands which are still active or new bands doing the metalcore thing!
@@davidmarsh1603 deathcore is stronger than ever. If any genre of metal is dying it'd be slam and even that is still going strong. You need to get more educated.
i was at a concert with them in Copenhagen, where Jake before they played this song, said that when he said it, we should dance with him. I hadn't heard the song before (or if i had, i didn't remember it), so when the rumby-style thingy started he yelled "DANCE", and began dancing badder than i normally do at high school parties. It was so hilarious, and awesome at the same time. :D
I only recently came across this song and artist but this is great. Driving riffs, progressions, the breaks with the flamenco and clean electric are divine. I wish i could find more songs that seamlessly blend genres.
Agreed dude! I met Matt and Jake in Milwaukee. I went to the show when I was still recovering from appendix surgery(which wasn't the smartest idea but it was worth it lol) and they both prayed for me to have a speedy recovery.
They have so much talent it's ridiculous. I respect them a lot because of how well they show their message and how well and different they are as a band that sets them apart from other bands today. They aren't all about just being the heaviest band out there, granted they can be pretty heavy at times but they are more about bringing about uniqueness and style. I'd much rather hear their guitar solos over a generic breakdown any day.
This song is still somewhat heavy but personally, I like the fact that they are mixing different elements into their style. It adds a bit of variety and variety is always good. No one wants to hear the same stuff over again :)
This song is fantastic live due to the dance-part. Sure, I love the heavy stuff as much as the next dude because that's what we've grown to love with ABR, but seeing them in concert and preforming Internal Cannon just blew me away.
Jake's battle from his younger life, (Where he used drugs, and lived his life wrong and wretched), with his older life, (Where he has found what is right, and has overcome his problems)
It basically signifies out with the old and in with the new. It reflects the lyrics and how they are about avoiding stagnation in music and moving forwards. I think the hose spraying thing represents fear of progression.
I've merely heard of this band before, and since I'm going to see them live today. I figured I would at least listen to a bit of them. Needless to say, I'm excited.
This takes talent. I'd love to see the main stream artists pull things like this off. I bet they wouldn't know what to do with an instrument when they picked it up and even if they did they would be just as bad as the music that they are already putting out. Thank you ABR for sparking the imagination and working your asses off to put out quality music for the people with a real ear for music can listen to.
