Dude, I'm 41 and I get carded about 30% of the time when I'm checking out and I rarely spend less than $150 when I buy bottles. Clerks are just conditioned to card anyone who isn't 800 lbs.

Great score on the Soft Red Wheat Rickhouse proof. I was able to grab one from my local store a couple of weeks ago for $75 and it’s great. The extra proof over the standard bottled in bond really helps it out. Hope you enjoy it as well. Happy Masters week!!!

It's pretty easy to find Blantons in the area . I think every store I've been to has them. You gotta ask though. The smaller stores all sell it for around $120. One place sold me a bottle for $100, but I had to buy a terrible bottle of vodka with it.
I got Monday practice round tickets last year, didn't even think about hitting the stores around Augusta but I wasn't looking for bourbons like I am now. Everywhere I go now, I'm always hitting the local stores to see what's available. When we go to Lexington and Louisville for the horse races, that's the trips we get serious about finding good bottles. Congrats, you got some good ones!
A&M is my local store. Not only are they cool folks, there's never really a markup even on rare stuff when they get it, their music selection in the store is always top-notch.
Was up there for The Masters. REALLY enjoyed meeting the guy who ran the liquor store at Costco near TopGolf. Solid dude with a passion for what he did. Also was able to get $40 Eagle Rare. Was a happy camper.
The points system at that store is way better than any of the stores of point systems. I’ve seen in Kentucky. The one by my house has Blantons gold for 2500 points, same thing with a dollar being a point.
@@Bourbon_Hunter no kidding. Coy hill was 6000 points. They used to have their points much more reasonable a few years ago but the last two year they went crazy.
Only wish I could get a few bottles of Weller 12 at $40 here in South Louisiana never see it ,,, So Far I have Tried two Penelope's ,, Valencia and Am. Light 15 year for me Both Good... Thanks

I was not a huge Penelope fan boy until I tried the 9yr Private Select. It is pretty amazing for the $60-$70 price tag. Would love to know if you’ve tried that one. If not, I highly recommend. In NJ/NY I’ve found it for $59.99 and went back for 2 backups. It’s that good.
2nd city distillery (Noble Jones) also does a Masters themed single barrel each year and name the bottle after each hole at Augusta National. This year is number 3 so you can still collect 3-18. Pretty neat idea. Don't know if the juice is good - haven't opened mine from last year.
I've heard nothing but great things about the RD One Amburana. Complete apple cinnamon flavor bomb. I'll definitely be picking one up once I feel like spending $70.

That JD SBBP Rye is pretty nice at 134 but found a Hazmat 140.2 on shelf in Atlanta. Just kicking myself for not buying more bottles to bunker (was at MSRP around $65)
I got a bottle of 1924 in New Albany, IN here across the river from Louisville for $120 the weekend it came out on the shelf with all the other OF products. Guess I got lucky and need to hold on to it as long as I can
@@joshknight5709 very true. Even though I’m not a fan of wheaters; I own two (since I challenge my palate) and one is almost gone and the wheat flavor is so much heavier now and sweet like a fresh whole wheat (at home) bread.

Sazerac are bringing Ben Holladay including Rickhouse Proof to the UK this year so it'll maybe join Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare in the "American things Brits can easily get" category.
@@Bourbon_Hunter It’s still a tough market though. The big box stores do random drops or raffles which are hard to keep up with. The smaller shops sell the good stuff at massive markups. Still haven’t found a good shop in the city that runs a decent point system loyalty program.

@@Bourbon_Hunter so Harvards probably has the best selection of liquors in Aiken. Anything allocated will be marked up but last time I went there they had some decent store picks too. My favorite store would be Happys Spirits. She doesn’t have a huge selection but the owner is super nice and every now and then will hook me and her regulars up. She had a bottle called Journeyman’s corsets whips and whiskey which I loved. Northside package shop can have some cool things but very hit or miss. If going straight for allocated only, liquor land would be good but they charge as much if not more than what you showed in this video for anything good. Whiskey road in general has a lot of stores that will be hit or miss but you can hit all of within about 10 minutes of each other. For food, check out Pizza Di Napoli. Little pricey but damn is it good pizza

Was in Augusta a couple weeks ago for work. Wasnt impressed with any of the stores I went to, but there are a lot of stores in that area, and I only had time to hit 7 or 8 of them.

@@Bourbon_Hunter I’m surprised. I got a blood oath pack 9 for $122 in March when I was there. Got posted to their IG page bc it was their hidden bottle. Wheeler package is also good limited bourbon section but lots of allocation behind the counter
I'd stay away from the Cedar Ridge main release, I get a really unpleasant tree sap taste. Been too scared to try some of their other releases after that.
