Yea true it was the third largest city in ga for a little bit but now it’s back to 2nd as of January 2022 it was reported that they had to recount the residence and the metro is huge
@@rodtherichest it can’t be that bad if you can barely buy a new house because folks from all over hightailing it to Augusta taking up our cheaper housing
I'm from Augusta and love what y'all are going. Wish I could have meet up with y'all. Luigi's is the oldest Italian restaurant in the city. Yes, there is a large Hispanic community (to include many restaurants, churches, and grocery stores) in Augusta and in South Carolina (many in South Carolina work as migrant workers in peach orchards, nurseries, and other areas of agriculture). Yes, lots of Jamaicans too. Yes, there is a majority of blacks in this area. Yes, there are a lot of confederate monuments. The vegan restaurant is awesome. The Hyatt House Hotel has a rooftop bar with beautiful views. Many locals like to go and hangout. That is the old jail. That building is empty now. Barney's is a local pharmacy that offers classes, community events, and lots of medical devices you can't get at retail pharmacies.
I'm from Augusta, I've been here all MY life we have a beautiful city and I'm so glad to see how the city is Growing with new infrastructures in place and the beautiful Skyline at night Thanks for the video 👍💝
Ma'am which videos, have you seen other than the worst areas in the hood of Augusta, I think they should have done their research, before putting that out. They can't even pronounce the name of the areas much less. I'm just saying. Augusta georgia is beautiful.
I'm from that area. Its Master's week !! You should have gone to Washington rd where the Augusta National golf course is. It's PACKED during this time of year.
From Augusta, born and raised. We always called it Disgusta growing up…i was so glad to leave. Now that I’ve been living up north for 7 years, I MISS IT AND MY FRIENDS SO MUCH!!! (Don’t miss the heat)
Historic District of Augusta. (Summerville, Walton Way, Highland Ave) the Augusta National, Clark's Hill, North Augusta, Martinez, Evans, Grovetown. All considered the CSRA. And all worth seeing. Except...you didn't. 🤷♀️
This duo must have the worse navigational sense on the planet. Whenever they would approach an intersection leading to the nicer more developed areas, they would turn in the opposite direction leading to the rundown areas of the city. Augusta is much nicer than what they portrayed.
Atlanta is the heart of GA. Savannah Augusta Macon Columbus do not come no where near close to Atlanta. Atlanta is 95% of GA's population and that can be both good and bad. Not even Savannah is as large of a city like that. Charleston in SC is larger than Savannah. At least MSA of Charleston is.
I currently live in Augusta but Augusta is definitely a hustling bustling city it has way to much traffic and is congested like Atlanta but it’s a smaller city but still have a big metro population but right now the masters is going on right now and it brings over 200’000 thousand people to the golf tournament but Augusta is definitely not a boring city it’s allot it has to offer there are poor parts too but that’s every city though but mostly it’s good parts
How about dont go to the frigging hood, If you don't like Augusta, don't cross the county line. Don't come here with your flapper flapping about our city...we live here and make a good living here. It's our home. I bet yours is worse
All we got is the golf course or do we lived here 33 years and got a channel myself and there’s so much more to Augusta then this vid don’t get me wrong it’s a good vid but Augusta has so much more wanna see some Augusta u would never see come over check out the channel
Ca is my home but I lived in Augusta, Ga for almost 6 years and I will say I miss the pace of living there. It’s much slower and more relaxed. I miss the beautiful scenery of trees as well. What I will never miss is the humidity and the flatness of it. Augusta just as any other city in the US has its crimes and what not but for the most part I felt safe living there. We also lived in Grovetown and Hephzibah and out of all I think Grovetown was my favorite just because it’s such a small town and not much happens there.
Love you went back to your humble beginnings.. def classy, sounded great up 458 then up & down. I have a ccard link 2 share/ recommended if u want a link.. enjoy the ride 💜
Its seams better than most cities in the deep south to me. At least culturally. Has some diversity for things to do like dining. The bbq was good lol. Its okay. Better than macon and Columbus 😅👌
I’ve been here since 2004 and I’m almost 25, cmon on down here. Just remember we are all friendly but doesn’t mean we all wanna be your friend lmao(I’m from Maryland) food is good, the rents cheap and you can find pretty decent jobs to pay for your stuff lol
@@briannagordon9079 a two bedroom apartment is running minimum $1500 a month $1400 rarely. I think there's a two bedroom apartment in Martinez called Ridge Crossing for $925 a month. I used to live there like 17 years ago.
Martinez is where I grew up. It was newly developed around late 80s early 90s. What Martinez was in that time, is now what Evans and Grovetown are today. But, Martinez is still a nice place to live and raise kids. Good schools. I grew up on a one road dead end street that's connected to a bunch of other neighborhoods. Very fun place to grow up. Perfect area for a golf cart.
I have lived in the CSRA Metro Augusta area my entire life. I hate that you are only seeing some of the worst areas in the town. You should checkout the west side of Augusta, and North Augusta, SC, which are much nicer areas of the Augusta vicinity.
I live in Harrisburg, right on the borderline of Summerville, and you should visit there on the hill with the partridges inn and the beautiful old mansions are dope
Summerville is easily the most beautiful area in Augusta. I've lived in Marinez, Evans, areas in Richmond County that aren't the greatest. Summerville has by far been my favorite area in Augusta I've ever lived.
These tours you giving in Augusta make videos of the interstates and the traffic around here trust me traffic here is really bad especially on I-20 and I-520 those are the bottle necks around 5:00 p:m especially now because of the masters that’s going on in the city metro Augusta is big and even the city by it self it’s the 2nd largest in the state and the fastest growing metro in the state because of Evans Martinez and others places that surrounds the city Hephzibah is the poorest suburb in the city go there it has hoods and projects overall Augusta has a wonderful beautiful busy night life everyone is out on a Friday night and Saturday night. Yeah Augusta is big and nice but have it’s problems too
You need to take your meds hephzibah are some beautiful homes near fort gordon that about it the dam city dump is right in the back 😠 there is no transportation for the soldiers so they got to Uber it the mall is off the chain you got a shooting here and there the most disgusting thing that recently happen the rob this 80 something old lady by gun point 😡 grove town all the homes clamp together I could might as well have breakfast with my neighbors they right in your face😬 the most traffic we get is when Augusta nationals come just unnecessarily traffic but inside the golf tournament now they got that beautiful this place Augusta Ga need change the whole dam Augusta is disgusting 🤮 downtown Augusta where they have the James town statue is dirty as heck don’t visit here Charleston you have a better chance visiting and that not saying so much prays for Augusta 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I've heard so many good things about the city of Augusta Georgia United States what exactly is bad about it yeah it might have some bad neighborhoods but we all know that's not all of it
I'm from Augusta Georgia but haven't lived there in centuries I'm thinking about coming back to really stay to live. Born there not raised there. I'm still a Georgia 🍑 tho 😉
Yea it is kinda a smaller city but big too it’s has a halft million people in the metro there is allot of traffic it can get congested like Atlanta because people are currently moving too the city especially suburbs and we have the famous golf tournament every year called the masters which everyone should know but there are allot of things to do here it barley gets boring it’s something for almost everyone
I visited in Augusta and Aiken SC on Columbus Day ‘21. The towns are dead on mondays. I was there on a holiday for f*ck sakes! Downtown Augusta was horrifically rundown as well. But how would i know! 🤷🏻♂️ I was visiting from Tampa.
we got LIFE here in FLORIDA... those people are so boring. than they are dangerous too so.. their nightlife SUCKS. were out till 3am here in Fort Myers sometimes
Augusta was AWESOME in the 80s. It was vibrant and (mostly) safe. I don't know what happened in the 90s, but the ghetto moved in and it went totally downhill. It is a shame. A once beautiful city - is gone. I'm surprised the Masters Tournament is still there.
just don't move to south Augusta. killing, robberies, poverty, run down homes, education system sucks. Most of the citizens on welfare. Augusta mall is dead, nothing to do here. Thrust me.
Yeah it’s really nothing on south Augusta but now they building that new company around there to bring more to that side of the city every where else in Augusta have stuff to do and the mall here is big unless your talking about the old abandoned regency mall but south Augusta I’m starting to see allot happening on that side of town but still got a long way
Bro people don’t call it that no more lol it’s been through allot of renovation and it’s busy as hell back in 2012 no one would come here and now allot of people are moving and visting u should too respectfully
