I remember this episode. It was hilarious like so many of the Sanford and Son episodes. No one could preach and shout like Aunt Esther. I loved this character. She was strong and had no problem putting people in their place, including Fred. But, Aunt Esther also had a good and kind heart. RIP funny lady. ❤

I remember watching this episode in the early 70s. We were all laughing until I fell outta the chair. 50 yrs later, Esther & Fred, together on the same side, is still funnnnnnnny now in 2024. Almost all the cast has passed on!

Everybody was shaking and trembling when they thought about Gripp and Esther together. First Gripp did it after thinking about it, then Fred and Lamont both did it. I guess she wasn't on anyone's list at the time. That's ok though, Esther still ended up pulling Woody... even though he was a drunk.
