For me this song perfectly sums up what it’s like to fall for someone who ends up being bad for you. At first everything is wonderful and you fall in love with the idea of what you could have together and that makes you overlook all of the times they treat you badly. The little breadcrumbs they give now and again keeps you hooked. It’s almost like you don’t want to admit to yourself that you are wrong about this person and that they are not good for you despite the perfect image you’ve created in your mind. But piece by piece, after every time you get hurt you begin to see a little clearer each time until you finally see what has been obvious for a long time. That there’s ‘no love in the end’.

It’s incredible and yet very strange how this song gives me arabic vibes in 0:32 while the rest of the song sounds very celtic and sometimes old western. Aurora is truly a master in her art.

Cool thing about this song, it’s really sad but it’s got this sort of irresistible rhythm that you just want to clap along to. It’s kinda like the song itself is a metaphor for the abusive but addictive relationship that it describes. Or I’m just crazy

I listen to this song multiple times a day, it's so intoxicating. I have to admit that this is one of the best song she has ever made ♥

Listening to this as someone who is constantly living with this kind of manipulation is really something. The battle i have with mysef day after day, to forgive and forget just because i "have" to. And the hurt it plants in me. I just want them to love me for who i am. And it's so painful that they will never do. This song has a very personal place in my heart

i was in a toxic friendship for a while. a mistake was made and i spent a while thinking it was my fault before the friend dumped me. i spent over five months recovering and now they want me back. but this song has helped me realize that having them back would only drag me down. they were a big fan of aurora and expected me to stop listening to her once we “broke up.” but i will continue to listen to her.

Saw you perform this song live in Bristol last night and it hit me in a completely new way. I'm currently struggling massively with anorexia and my god these lyrics describe my relationship with my ED. It's so hard to see how dangerous and evil the disease is when it takes hold.
