Aurora Borealis Kodiak vs Esee Junglas ! 

That Aurora Borealis looks like a real beast. Although they are usually not the most practical for general use, I absolutely love big knives. They are fun to play with, and I'm convinced that just holding one will automatically give a guy an instant boost in his testosterone levels 😂 🤣.

Hoping to grab one of these when they drop at the end of the month! I'm ridiculously excited. The design is exactly what I've been looking for. I don't want to bash any other companies, but I've been waiting for something similar for over 5 years now as a pre-order. When I get the Kodiak, I can finally close that chapter of my knife collecting. Amazing design brotha!

Kodiak blows the Junglas out of the water!! I have 2 Kodiak’s and they are absolute slicing and chopping monsters. I would love the Kodiak to be a full production knife! They would sell like crazy. Great work my friend! WTG killed it!

Tested my kodiak yesterday in the dark woods of canada got a fire going 6 inchs of snow on ground worked great loveing this knife looking forward to testing it extended camping trip in summer and spring cant wait loveing it so far.

Very humble of you even though the kodiak clearly outperformed the esee. I wish Survival Lilly had used this approach on fällkniven s1 instead of defaming it to later drop her own similar counterpart.

I like the look of the Aurora Borealis. My opinion of ESEE knives is they are over priced and over hyped lawn mower blades with a handle on them.

À propos de l'Aurora Borealis Kodiak Pour l'acier, je ne peux pas juger, vu que je ne l'ai jamais eu en main. Mais pour son ergonomie, son efficacité, il a l'air très bien conçu. Il est efficace, c'est impressionnant de voir à quelle vitesse tu rentres dans le bois. C'est définitivement de mon point de vue un très bon modèle de couteau. Nice knife I just wish it had the hole at the end for the lanyard like the esse. Looks great though i love that it has no finger choil as I think thats a waste of blade haha

Esee junglas can chop vegetation like a machete where the other one is too heavy.

Looks good but i rather have it more compact keep the blad height but shorten blad to 7 1/2". About the size of a BK 7...wounder how it preform afterwards.🤔

Is there a reason to not carry a small hatchet or tomahawk for splitting?

The ESEE would be easier long periods of clearing trail since its mentioned as a machete replacement (the weight difference). I own the ESEE and I have a Battle Mistress. Im really thinking the Grizzly is more versatile than Kodiak because of the choil, I would like to add that blade but missed the last drop. Wish these were production available. Next WT blade will be the Carnivore next month. The ESEE really should have fire steel ready out the door, that is a fail. Perhaps their thinking was jungle environment and rust and the fact most people would have a small bushcrafting knife in additonn to the chopper. ESEE definitely a much more fragile blade in comparison. They do have an outstanding warranty though.

To have a knife that makes the junglas seem small, outstanding! The junglas may have a very high saber grind. Not easy to see at all angles with the coating. Great vid. Amazing knife!

IMO they are two different knives for two different purposes . The Junglas was made for South American jungles and the other for North American forests.
