This was the first song I heard by Aurora and I was obsessed with this song! I listened to it like 20x a day for a month. Im glad I found her, she is one of a kind!

It’s so fun but with a message. Aurora is bisexual and doesn’t limit her love. This is a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries including her own to “cure” homosexuality. Here’s my standard spiel about her in case I haven’t already told you. As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been special. Starting singing, writing and playing just for herself at about 6 or 8. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her music. You can see that at the end of Runway from the Noble Peace Prize concert. Her introduction to Heathens at Rough Trade East, London, makes me happy. It’s about “the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven.” Like me. So - answer this for a free gift. Aurora is a fairy/angel. Tatiana is a berserker. Floor is a Valkyrie. I wasn't the biggest fan of this song initially, but I've very much come around on it. Also....the music video gives me such a nostalgic feeling, because I immediately remember around 2 years ago, anxiously waiting for the official release....and then watching the post-release livestream she did. The one where she's wearing all turquoise and has her sister on as a guest, and teaches the dance at the end. That was a fun wholesome vibe of a night..

Yaaay! Hi dear Ashlena ! Just came home from work and first thing I saw was this video (which I knew would be coming today)... and what can I say ? A lovely reaction to a lovely song, sung by a lovely singer and reacted to by a lovely woman.... what else can youb wish for ? About what to react to next... how about reacrting to some more of her covers. You already heard some in the Nidarosdomen concert, the Golden cover of Harry Styles, and you reacted to the "God is a woman" cover. But believe me, there are TONS of other wonderful covers from Aurora... as I have already mentioned, when it comes to covers,. Aurora is a bit like King Midas. Everything she touches (musically) turns to gold. Imagine Dragons Believer is one of her most beautiful. So simple, but yet so hauntingly beautiful. Her voice in this cover is out of this world. And for this programme (P3), she was invited to sing some of her own songs live and to prepare a cover of a song she hasn't listened to before... and ahe has one hour time ONLY to do it ! And what came out at the end ? A heavenly gorgeous cover ! If you don't know the original, I always advice to listen to the original first,m just to get an impression of how the original sounds, and then see what Aurora makes out of it. As you know I’ve followed Aurora now for seven years and the one song that not many react to to is the song Secret Garden a song that Aurora wrote as a very young child after reading the book of the same name,it’s amazing for me that years later Aurora was asked to sing the theme tune for the film The secret Garden when she told them she had already written a song as a child after reading the book they listened to it and immediately used her song,would love you to react to it,it’s a perfect fit for the film and just blows me away how special an songwriter she was at such a young age,simply a Genius ❤️

I think I read that the distribution rights for her songs are all over the place and the right holders for different countries and her label are not on speaking terms at the moment. Something like that. So you can get access to her videos in one country, but don't in the neighbouring country....Seems like a bigbad mess, such a shame, when art and music are in the hands of f*cked up people. Aurora said the song does not represent the album. It is quite separate, but it joins the story of the whole album. Aurora herself finds the dance quite ugly in a beautiful way. 😁 The song in general goes against institutes that offer a so-called cure for homosexuality/bisexuality. In doing so, she is directly affects the topic. And of course it should increase self-confidence and self-esteem for everyone who needs it. I think that she's also pointing the (middle)finger at her critics and against people who call others crazy or creepy or laugh at them just because they dress differently, have ticks or otherwise fall out of the norm. All movements that are otherwise involuntary with her, she makes here with full intention. Her wide open eyes, her hand movements, Shaking her head and her involuntary twitches. Everything is clearly highlighted with the camera in various separate settings. That didn't have to be so it was intentional. "I don't need a cure for me" Furthermore, Aurora is the only one without a mask. She is the one who shows her true self and does not hide. Everyone else wears one and seems to bury Aurora in the sequence in which she looks almost panicked into the camera. Which for me is an indication of bullying. She painted the masks herself and her sister made her outfit. It should also create a bridge to "Exist for love". I think the "Exist for love" reference at the very beginning (Aurora in the Crystal Ball on the Shell) had its reason. The song was also criticized. That wouldn't be Aurora and why is she singing such a song? Why only love between man and woman? And so on. The usual stupid talk. The apple is from the Garden of Eden (the forbidden fruit and sin) and Aurora likes to bite in.😁.
