Am I the only one who listens to her music and instantly wants to wear light summery folk clothing, braid their hair, and go running through the fields and wood of Norway ? No just me ? Ok.

Aurora started writing this song when she was nine. She explained to the 405: "It's a reminder of how important it is to not give yourself away for anyone else's love. Way too many people tend to stay in relationships where they go through verbal and physical abuse. It's a huge issue that needs awareness."[

When she was asked about the meaning of the song, she said this: "We sometimes go too far for the approval and love of someone else, when we should really just learn to love ourselves and that should be enough." She helped me so much to make myself feel enough and self loved. I believe there's a lot of people out there just like me who tried to please someone else just to not end everything. Love yourself, take care of yourself, sometimes letting go is healthier than holding on to something that's hurting us but we don't want to see it that way. Much love to everyone in grief.

Strategy in all of them seems to be: keep the camera on her as much as possible cuz she's stunning and expressive, provide natural and mystical environments for her aura to shine in, let her dance and move as she naturally does, and if you introduce another actor in the video make sure it's just another Aurora.

This song means so much to me. One of my siblings is clinically narcissistic, and has manipulated and used me my whole life. Each time she hurt me, she would make me feel as though everything was my fault. I would crawl back to her and pour all my trust and love into her hands. And she used it. She liked to see me hurting. This song helped me get away, and to learn that I do not need her false love and approval. I hope everyone can know that they do not need to stay with the people who hurt them. Please, if you're reading and you have someone who crushes you, know this; Even if it hurts you to separate yourself from this person, it is worth it. The fear of going away from them cannot stop you from getting to a healthier place. This applies to those who hurt themselves, mentally and physically. You are worth more than you believe. God loves you!

This album has literally changed my life. It has helped me through a very, believe me, VERY hard time. I always considered myself someone who loves music but I always thought people overexaggerated when saying that an artist has changed their life. I understand now.

I met my boyfriend since I was in high school. I'm 26 this year, we're ready for a marriage. But his parents were against with our relationship. They didn't like me, my ambitions, my dreams, my personalities. I was struggling to know that we almost cancelled our marriage. I was so scared to imagine that we will become a stranger each other. In my darkness period, i found aurora and listened to this song. I realized that i was too busy with my life plan. Whilst the other Aurora in black below represents the past, negativity and pain, as she climbs downwards towards the sea. Both sides need to exist to make something whole. I really like this video, but now I'm waiting for a black water lilies video.

Her music has had a huge impact on my life. I only discovered her a couple of weeks ago, but in those two weeks my depression has been lifted and my mood has dramatically improved. This girl is simply incredible.

I see her music blowing up on Instagram and I am so happy for her but I wish it wouldve happened years ago for her. I discovered her music about 6 and a half years ago when I was recovering from a drug addiction, moving on from a toxic 9 year relationship and trying to learn to love myself. I’m unsure of whether artists truly grasp the gravity that their music plays on others lives. But Aurora got me through some of the darkest moments of my life. I always come back to listen to the first few songs I heard. This being just one of them.

Sometimes...Often...Things are so heavy, I don't know how I'll get through the day. Then I throw on Aurora every single time and I have the strength to get through it. I can't thank her enough. I'll never be able to express how much this song means to me, it's like she reached right in my heart and mind and pulled this out. Growing up with a really narcissistic mom and dad and who was also schizophrenic I never got told anyone was proud of me. My sister went through the same thing too. Both of us were such high achieving kids and everything we did we did without help. Both of us won awards for so many things and were given special opportunities because of how high achieving we were and no one ever told us they were proud or good job or even seemed to notice at all and then that led me into two of the worst experiences of my life. I went into two different abusive relationships one was extremely verbally emotionally physically abusive and the second person was unbeknownst to me a very mentally ill sociopath and I almost died trying to love that person in 2004. I went to the ends of the Earth I know I hit my knees so many times before almost dying just praying and wishing and begging and hoping this person would love me back the way I loved them and I completely lost myself. Every single day I think I asked why wasn't I enough and it's because I was never enough. Never enough to be noticed or loved no matter how much effort I had ever put in and then after a long time of dealing with such abuse I got to a place thank God that I realized it was not me, and there was nothing ever wrong with me. I had been good enough, I did deserve to be loved the way I loved so deeply. This song can just put me right back into the place of being a little girl, right back into place where I never felt enough and then to a place where I know my worth. This song is so happy, so sad it's like every single emotion in one song, my darkest and my peace. Aurora is so special, I hope to hear this live someday, I'll be the one smiling through sobbing so forgive me. Thank you Aurora you are so special to me in ways you couldn't ever understand ♥️

i just discovered her a few hours ago and now im actually addicted to her songs??? help

I have been in a really really dark place in my life for a long time. I won’t get into it, but it is as if I was a prisoner with no escape. I used to always imagine it like we are all walking forward, all us people, to a destination.. and somewhere along the way I accidentally stumbled into a giant hole in the ground. I scream for help but no one can hear. But I can sense that everyone is still walking on. Going on without me. I’m trying for years to get out, but, I literally can’t find a way… Recently, I rediscovered Aurora, and quite honestly I’ve been in such a good place ever since. One of her songs cured me of something SUPER DEEP in one listen.. like actually. Pretty sure she is magical lol. And the other day I thought back to this hole I was in for so long, and then my mind’s eye immediately goes to this video with the ladder suddenly appearing in the hole. To me aurora and her music is that ladder.. as corny as that is lol. Who knows how long I would’ve been in there if it wasn’t for her heart
