But maybe that’s when we need these little moments of joy, excitement and even “superficialness” (I know that is not a word) It’s funny.. because I’ve often wondered if there is something wrong with me. Since I never become any happier with any success, good reviews, nominations etc. during my whole career. but with the years I’ve understood it’s just because that is not a part of my mission. My soul-purpose. When I make music I feel happiness. And not always when people expect happiness from me. But that is ok. It doesn’t make progress any less exciting or important just because I don’t enjoy it as much as being in the studio. Or being in my room. Writing. It’s like that feeling when you open up gifts on your birthday and you get more stressed out by making sure you look happy while opening them than to actually enjoy the gifts. That is how I feel. With all these things. I’ve never found happiness in anything else than creating, nature and love. Of course it makes me happy to see you all being happy on my behalf, it is easier to be happy on the behalf of someone else. (Thank you) And I hope you can understand that just because I don’t get so excited, or talk too much about award shows etc. it’s not because im not grateful or honored. It’s just not that important to me. Because it’s not the reason why I make music. And that is ok. You are the reason I make music. And I don’t make music for the papers or the award shows. I make it so it will touch my warrior’s hearts. I guess my point is - that it’s ok to not feel any emotion, even when everybody expects you to. We are all different. That’s the beauty of us. Wee #wee"

This is why people love her so much. She is authentic and human, tender and fierce, but also relatable. Obviously creative, unique and caring. And still very much her own person. Thanks, Aurora, for the music and friendship. It really helps.

You dads remember that father's day card your wife found on a store shelf and signed your 2 year old daughter's name to it? Yet somehow over time and movement it was lost. Then comes first grade and the first hand made card with the crudely drawn stick figures of you holding her hand with the words "I LOVE YOU DADDY" And that card became your most cherished possession. Never misplaced never lost. For me Aurora is that card. Loved. Adored. Appreciated. Forever.
