The line that gets me is “Can you carry the weight of mortality?” The blood of war and also the blood of life are represented in the video. The placement of the blood over their groins is so powerful. It invokes the image of the divine feminine and shows how we bleed for the life we give. Here is the background of why she chose a hip hop feel to the song: During a Step 2 listening party and Q&A on June 13, 2019, Aurora gave some insight in the production of the song. She confirmed that the beat of the track was influenced by Brazilian's Olodum, with which she came in contact when she first went to Salvador in 2017. There are also hip-hop influences because she "felt it deserved a very alive and bad-ass groove". And here is what she has to say about the message of the song: Upon release of the music video Aurora posted a lengthy note on her social media. A similar note is in the music video's description: "Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won't listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope. Let her save the world. Let him save them all. Believe in us, and maybe we'll be the generation that saves the world, rather than the one that killed it."

I think that the blood represents a few things… I think it represents the atrocities and violence we commit against each other as humans and I think it represents the battle that has to be had in order to make things right ( let her save the world) there’s more I could say here but I’m having to type all of this on my tiny phone screen 😅 Great reaction! She wasn’t dangerous, but Aurora with her imagination made her a serial killer that hides the bodyparts under her bed 😳😄 In especially “In Boxes” there’s humour in the lyrics “I would kill for some company, temporarily”😅

Glad you liked this one. I have watched this one many times and am no closer to understanding the whole blood thing than you are. She is a dancer and pretty sure she did the choreography for this and other videos. She not only surprises you with her flow and beats but with the visuals too. She is never boring that's for sure!

I read it as the blood of the world is on our hands. Apple tree seems reminiscent of the Garden of Eden but we are so far from there. After biting the apple see where our free will has taken us.

You need to do some full album reactions. This is from Step II of her second project (it was split into two steps). Her second project had the most diverse range of songs and sounds. However her third album (the gods we can touch) is by far my favorite and that just came out in January. It is super cohesive.

In my opinion it is about saving world. And new generations (this boy and girl from a chorus) can safe world if you give them chance to do that (to dream for better world and try to change what is now). Also I think blood represent what we do with the word: like violence toward each other and how we kill animals and destroy nature etc. And this one is not typical song for Aurora (musically) but still sound great as usual with Aurora. Love this video and song. You may want to turn your output volume up a bit. I had to turn my volume all the way up to really hear it well. Glad you're liking your Aurora journey. She's fantastic. So many different sounds and such a great song writer.

The blood at the end is signifying female power I believe. I'm not sure if all of the blood throughout was just to underscore this or if it has another meaning. I love this song, and I am not normally a fan of hip hop. I fully expect Aurora to come out with a metal song or two given her love of metal. Like rap, I'm not normally a fan of metal. But I'll like hers when she releases it. And the really cool thing is that she's kind of helping me expand my musical horizons.

Dude.....I like your Aurora reactions a lot, you have great insights...so I don't mind the pausing, Well, maybe I mind a little when you so it a lot lol. BUT......every time you pause, the video and audio get all weird and out of sync and freeze on frames and whatnot. Is it maybe the software you're using? Anyway....glad u liked this one. I love the more beat-driven vibe of this one. It's a perfect blend of the cosmic ethereal thing she normally does....but with a slightly hip hop heaviness and flow. It's super cool.
