Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer born on the 15 of June 1996 She has written music since she was 6 and with lyrics (English) since she was 9. She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano, and her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 14 years old. She’s truly a different kind of human in the most beautiful way. If you watch her interviews or her interaction with the audience, you’ll see she has no filter and she’s just so adorable❤️ A great place to start is with her breakthrough song, which she wrote when she was 11 years old. “Runaway” live at the Nobel peace prize concert 2015 This song means a lot to her and are one of few songs that are about herself. My favorite artist from the time I discovered her music. Very expressive, beautiful voice tone, great creativity and artistry. She has also her own style, very unique in my opinion. She is also self taught, started to make music from 6 and English lyrics from 9 (it is not her first language) - some songs from her first album she wrote when was 9-11. She has so far only great song aftor another great songs - to be honest love her whole discography and songs outside albums.

As a little girl in Norway she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been special. She was terrified of performing at first as you can see at the end of Runaway at the Noble Peace Prize concert. I think her most upbeat song is Cure For Me. As usual for her it has a serious message. It’s a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries including her own to “cure” homosexuality. She’s bisexual and doesn’t limit her love. 😊
Great reaction! Aurora is Norwegian, just like Angelina (and me 😁) and she is my 2nd favorite artist in the world, after you know who. But I swear that I am not biased. It just so happens that we have two absolutely INCREDIBLE artists in this 5 million people country. Has to be the water I think. I am thrilled that you liked it enough to give her another shot, as I am pretty sure that you won't regret it. When Aurora creeps under your skin, she'll stay there forever. Trust me. Whenever I recommend new people to her, I choose a performance from a concert she did here in Norway quite a few years back. The concert took place in Norway's oldest and most beautiful cathedral, which dates back to the 11th century, right after the viking era. I strongly believe that that concert is one of the most beautiful concerts you will ever see. Anywho, my favorite performance from the concert (and maybe over all Aurora performance) is her performance of her song called "Through The Eyes Of A Child". Thank you for this nice reaction to my all time favorite multi talented artist, IMO, there is absolutely no one like or no one as good as her. Her songs have depth and substance, they show her for the lyrical genius she is. She is quirky, funny, authentic and highly intelligent, a deep thinker.
I love AURORA from her debut, all songs are brilliant. And let me point out that her live performance is really good, you can see how she expresses songs, or i should say she herself is the song.
Nice 😊. This is a bit unusual for her, but I like it a lot, and I think the music and video fits the message. Although she's a metal fan, very few of her songs can be considered rock, and some of my favorite performances are just with a piano or guitar. Her albums are very well produced, and the music videos good, but there's something special about her live. If you give her another go, "Through The Eyes Of a Child" Live at Nidarosdomen and "Runaway" from the Nobel Peace Price Concert are fine introductions.

Nice reaction! I'm glad you picked up on the production, because she puts a lot of time and effort into it. I love the way her studio stuff sounds on headphones. Having said that, she's even more known for her live performances. She's an incredible performer. You really can't go wrong with any of her live stuff, but I think "Runaway" at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert is the perfect place to start.

It's a beautiful and powerful song. Watching this video is great, it shows you the quality of her work in the studio (not to mention her singing), knowing that she usually co produces her songs, for which she writes the lyrics and creates the music. It also shows you a bit of her creativity, but know that her musical palette is really wide and varied, because she doesn't stick to a genre or another. And she sometimes reinterprets her songs (mood, tempo, instrumentation, it can vary a lot), especially during specific concerts and live sessions. Love Aurora - yet another artist who never has a bad song imo. Such an amazing and beautifully pure voice and her song arrangements are incredible. Apart from all of her original songs, she does some cracking cover versions where she really put her individual mark and spin upon them - highly recommend. Im not sure what your usual listens too are. This song is a bit edgier than a lot of her other selections. Which fits the theme of the song. But Aurora is an extremely versatile artist I strongly suggest taking another look or 4 at her works.

It reminds me of someone too but I can't think who. First time I've head her although I've seen her name come up a few times, will wait and see more from her before judging her. This one I thought was ok, for me though it felt like one of those songs you'd have on headphones when you're concentrating on some work or something and it's filling the background with a mellow sound.
She gets a lot of comparisons to Delores Campbell from the Cranberries with some of her songs. I think mostly because much like Delores Auroras accent comes through when she sings. Her performance style might remind others of Bjork or Sia, and I've heard others mention Florence as well. But I think she's just her own charming little self.

She dont really har weak songs, so it is hard to pick. Like me she is a Hord, from I few miles further north, so I might not be objective. I will suggest Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen, wich she wrote at 11 years, and I happened quiet, witch is very dark. Also Aurora featuring Wardruna, with Helwegen, witch is song in the old tongue.(Vikings)
The Aurora fan community is.......VERY devoted! Sure hope you do a lot more of her stuff! I'm sure you'll do Runaway early....tho, even if you aren't super into that one, keep going. I'm a huge mega Aurora fan, and Runaway doesn't even crack the top 20 Aurora songs for me. Yet it has more streams than all her other songs combined.... Go figure lol.
