Well thats what artists do.. so people can remember what being human is... if forgotten. We are essential for the well being of the planet and human race health.
@@AreivielExactly, I found a group called Mariri that plays Medicine Music in various Southern American folk genres and omg the lyrics and the vividness really makes you feel connected to your ancestors.
Fun fact! Aurora was not told that the male choir was going to join her for this performance. If you watch her reaction at around 0:43 you can see how surprised she is. I was lucky enough to watch this as it went on air on the Norwegian Broadcasting Company (NRK), and it was glorious! When she comented on it after the performance, she was nearly lost for words, because of how amazing she thought it was.
I’m glad that was arranged for her because in that moment she got a glimpse of what we feel when we listen to her songs. Pure surprise when she felt just how powerful her music really is.
Live? I feel as though the vocals/music were prerecorded. I mean, how was the choir so crisp and clear with no visible microphones around them? It's out in a forest but I hear no ambient sounds at all. Not even the footsteps of the people walking up. Am I missing something? 🤔
@@ComPrt3 I understand your apprehension, but I'm resonably sure this _is_ live. There are imperfections in the male choior's singing that would easily be fixed if this was prerecorded by doing another take. They are crisp and clear, but they're also burried in the mix, wich can hide a lot of imperfections. As for no ambient sound. The entire section of the forrest is covered in moss and evergreen needles, wich both make surprisingly little sound when you step on it. As for no microphones (aside for the ones used by the performers), you are right. If they did hide the microphones they hid them well.... but there are some clues. At 0:37 over the head of the male choir you can see what looks like microphones. This video is very low quality, so it's hard too see. This version is better quality: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8un_miodCoo.html For this version the microphones appear at 23:11. The quality of the filming. editing and sound recording is very good, yes. Don't underestimate the sound engineers and camera operators at NRK. They are not amateurs. 😋 Cheers! 😁
I watched the whole HAIK special and if I remember correctly, it's even woods that have significance to her, like woods near her childhood home or something. I highly recommend watching the whole HAIK thing. It's on YT and it's just great.
Her spirit has so much raw power, It has constantly inspired me and I’ve been listening to this same song on repeat since last week. The world is truly blessed to have artists like Aurora
I've been a fan of her for years now, you should watch her interviews they're so magical. She might be the best artist in our generation I'm hoping to see her concert live one day 💞
Imagine walking your dog through the forest and it’s shitting itself you take out your earphone and there’s this enchanting tribal like music echoing through the forest 🌳 like you’d think the world is ending
This song made me fall in love with music all over again. I felt lost and when I heard this song I felt how I felt in middle school about music. It made me motivated it made me happy I felt goosebumps I cried while listening to this song. I was so emotionally moved by this exact song the vocals the lyrics everything about this song is just beautiful and I’m so happy I found this song and this artist.
The sound mechanics probably put the recording of the microphone over the video for video and sound sakes. If you where there it would have sounded very outdoor concert like ykwim?
I’m assuming they was able to cancel out the main sounds of the forest live. I know it’s possible for them to edit audio live they did it at the recent Super Bowl cos I saw a clip of Alecia Keys performance that was someone’s phone recording vs the live footage that was on tv and her voice cracked but they edited it so those watching it at home didn’t hear it.
Hey all I just want to say that Aurora's songs have really helped me with being more in touch with my emotional side Any time i feel like i cant anymore and i just need a good cry i just listen to one her songs They are by no means sad songs but there's just so much emotion in her voice i just can't help but feel all that and start tearing up, even rn as i am typing this...
This performance is so amazing, I still watch this particular video even though the video & audio are not synched correctly for the whole video...and it drives me crazy.
I need this version on my phone so I can access it everywhere. I’m not having a good time with my mental health and this just brings me a peace I cannot explain
I'm getting goosebumps all over all throughout the song until the end.. What a great song! This is something everybody needs to hear! The message of the song is so strong.
So GOOD, but isn’t anyone gon say that it’s got pretty similar to blood//water? By grandson, mainly on the line “when the last tree has fallen, and the rivers are poisoned/animals can’t hide” it surely was an inspiration, please correct me if I’m wrong, again, awesome!!!
It’s an native american proverb (Cree, I believe). It’s original wording goes like this: “Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.“
This is not fun and games anymore. This is an advice that we forgot to understand. Fishes are dying in the US for poisoning. It’s happening right now in our country. Just browse the current news now. This song hits different now. It is scary the times we are living now in a brink of world war 3 and our demise of our natural resources
Something very weird. I got a little kitten, she is now with a recent surgery and its with me, resting. I play this song and the cat becomes anxious, The song ends, and she becomes sleepy, Some minutes later i play the song again and again the cat becomes anxious, like she wants to runaway. Very weird
